Day 43: May 29, 2000

Happy Memorial Day.  The beginning of the second half of the challenge is upon me.  Was in the gym in the late morning for a tremendous Upper Body workout.  Pushed 65 lbs on the Incline Dumbbell Presses and was feeling real strong.  

Also feeling great on the Wide Grip Lat Pull Downs.  I am totally focused on feeling the muscles work.  Tomorrow is cardio day and will be in the gym bright and early in the morning.....

Day 44: May 30, 2000

Cardio, more cardio!  In the gym for my early morning cardio workout.  Another 30 minutes on the stationary bike s now in the books and gotta say.... I feel so alive and energized after these workouts.  I look forward to continuing at this energy level through the second half of the challenge.  

Legs and Abs tomorrow and will be going all out for a total burn......

Day 45: May 31, 2000

Continuing my subtle adding of the hidden weight on my leg presses pushing a total of 470 lbs.  Also kept up the 110 lbs on the Leg Extensions and it felt great.  The greatest pump came at the end of my leg workout where I did the Rack on Donkey Calf Raises (500 lbs) for 12 reps.  What a total burn that was!!!

My Cable Crunches for abs feel real good each time I do them.  I am holding strict form for each and every rep.  I can really feel them developing through each set.  

Once again tomorrow, it is early cardio day....

Day 46: June 1, 2000

What a crazy day.... I finally got up at exactly 5:00 AM, and was heading out the door before 5:15 to get to the gym before the doors open, when my wife comes out to remind me that I need to take out son to the babysitter being they are off from school.... Needless to say, I I didn't get to the gym in the morning and planned to make it up in the evening.

Part two of the crazy day was the fact of our daughter's Little League Softball game was this afternoon... I am one of the coaches and we had a double header to play to make up for a rainout earlier in the season.... By the end of the two games, it was 8:00 and I was extremely tired, so I decided to put off the cardio workout for the day..... Will make it up over the weekend.

By  the way, we split the double header, losing the first game, 9 to 7 but coming back strong in the second game winning 12 to 5.  The last inning, our bats really came alive scoring 6 runs with everyone, including the weaker hitters making good contact.  Tomorrow is Upper Body day again..... Onward......

Day 47: June 2, 2000

Another missed day at the gym due to some unexpected circumstances.  I WILL MAKE IT UP OVER THE WEEKEND FOR SURE!!  Will get the weights in tomorrow and hit the stationary bike on Sunday..... The focus is alive and well.

I did eat well today though, getting in 5 meals including three of them consisting of some variety of chicken as the protein source!

Day 48: June 3, 2000

Was only able to get some Cardio in today after a busy day at work.  Was very tired and was not feeling up to the weights.  Lets see how it goes tomorrow....

Day 49: June 4, 2000

No gym at all today.  All in all, a bad ending to the week.  I will not let this get me down and will continue pursuing my goals tomorrow with Legs and Abs.  Gonna go for broke...
