Week of: May 15, 2000Day 29: May 15, 2000Have to tell you, the time is just flying by.... It is hard to believe that I am into week number 5 already. I am almost half way thru my challenge and I feel great. There have been a few bad days so far, but I have not lost my drive or my focus. Now, on to my report for today... I got back on track today after a bad end to week 4 with an awesome Upper Body workout. I pushed myself to my limits even though I am starting to come down with a cold. "I will not let a cold get in the way of my goals!" I will be back again tomorrow and the rest of the week stronger than ever! When I got home, I had some progress pictures taken of me and I'm lookin forward to seeing them..... I will have them posted later this week, including my official beginning photos. Day 30: May 16, 2000Up at 5:00 AM to get to the gym for cardio day. Another 30 minutes on the bike, pushing past the cold. Felt great afterwards and I enjoy telling people I got up early to get to the gym. Some of them think I am crazy, and others are totally behind me as I make my new journey towards new goals. Gotta tell you..... It's all good. Dropped the film off to get my pictures..... can't wait to see them........ Day 31: May 17, 2000During the day today, I was totally congested and really felt I would get a so so workout done foe Leg and Abs day. Boy was I wrong! I got to the gym and got totally pumped. Once again, I pushed myself to the limit and got an all out burn! Quads, Hamstrings and Calves were totally burnt out at the end and it felt great. As I said at the beginning of the week.... "I will not let a cold get in the way of my goals!" I truly believe this and will not change my attitude. Gettin up early again tomorrow to do my cardio. Till then........... Day 32: May 18, 2000Once again, I was able to get up nice and early to get my cardio work done. Was at the gym at 5:40 AM and logged on my 30 minutes on the bike. I felt great when it was over and was totally energized for the rest of the day. I also seem to be kicking the cold. Still have some stuffiness, but it is not as bad as it has been earlier this week. Tomorrow is once again, Upper Body day and I am looking forward to blasting out my reps. Till then........... Day 33: May 19, 2000Friday, and the week is coming to an end. Upper Body workout this evening was awesome. Moved up in weight for my Incline Dumbbell Presses to 65 pounds and added an extra ten pounds to my high for Lat Pull Downs! Felt real great moving that weight!!! Got my pictures back and they look great. Everyone I have shown them to is complimenting me on the progress I am making. You can definitely see my losses around the midsection. I am however having trouble with my scanner. Will be doing some trouble shooting over the weekend to get it back up and running so I can get these photos posted...... Day 34: May 20, 2000While online last night, I joined a number of online "Body For Life" clubs. Some of them are: Body For Life USA NATIONAL CLUB, Body For Life Club - New York, Body For Life - 30 Something Club, Body For Life - B.F.L Club @ Yahoo.com, and The Body For Life Club. If you are taking the challenge and want to meet some fellow competitors, or just want to get some additional inspiration, besides my site, check some of them out! I had an average cardio workout today. I was just very tired today and was not much into it.... I did get 30 minutes in, but the intensity was not there. Well, Monday is another day with a strong Legs and Abs day predicted........ Day 35: May 21, 2000Well finally, I got the scanner working right, and got my pictures scanned. I placed my Week 1, Day 1 photos on the "Goals" page and as you can see below, these are my end of Week 4 progress photos.
