Week of: June 26, 2000Day 71: June 26, 2000Another strong outing for my Upper Body workout. Dumbbell Incline Presses and Flyes for chest. Cable Side Laterals and Kneeling Cable Rear Laterals for shoulders. Liked the continuous tension you get using cables. Wide Grip Pull Downs and Seated Rows were the order of the day for back. Got a real good pump in Triceps and Biceps using all cable movements. Was really psyched for tonight's workout and it turned out real well. Now that the kids are out of school, I am gonna have to move my morning cardio workouts to the early evenings. Will probably do them on the way home from work. Just gotta see how it works out tomorrow. Day 72: June 27, 2000It felt weird not getting up to my cardio in the morning. It has become such a regular thing now. But I did do a strong 30 minutes after work on my way home. It works out good being the gym is on the way home. I will see about getting my weight workouts done on the way home being I don't have to be back to pick up the kids at a certain time now. Tomorrow, I am back to Legs and Abs and I am looking forward to it. Till then....... Day 73: June 28, 2000Tonight's workout was not as intense as it could have been. Only about a level 8 on the intensity scale. Switched off and did strictly machines for my Leg Workout and I didn't even break out in a sweat the way I normally do. I will have to pick it up on Monday's Leg workout. Tomorrow, I will be back to the gym after work for my cardio workout. With that, I will definitely get the intensity up. I also have to switch my off day this week to Friday. I am going to the Mets game with the family for fireworks night. So with that, will switch my next Upper Body Workout to Saturday and the final cardio for the week to Sunday. Day 74: June 29, 2000Got to the gym after work for an all out cardio workout. Rode the stationary bike for 30 minutes and kept the intensity up throughout. Had to make up for last night's lack of intensity. And I have to admit, I gave in to temptation tonight. Took my daughter to a local carnival and I had to have a few "Zepoles." They just smelled so good and I couldn't resist. Only had three and that will be it, even if I go back another night. Tomorrow, will be my off day, due to going to the Mets game. "Let's Go Mets!" Day 75: June 30, 2000Don't know if anyone saw the game on TV, or even if they were at the game, but what a comeback!!! Down 8 to 1 in the bottom of the eighth inning, the Mets scored 10 runs to take the lead and eventually win the game. Three of the runs were walked in, Mike Piazza kept his RBI streak of 13 straight games alive, and they did this all with 2 outs. It was just amazing to see. And after the game, the Fireworks were great also!! Next year, I have got to bring my camera to get some photos. Day 76: July 1, 2000Was planning to do an Upper Body workout today, but forgot to bring my belt, gloves and hooks, so switched over and did my cardio. It felt real good and will make up the Upper Body tomorrow. Now here is something amazing also, after doing my Saturday Afternoon Magic at Wendy's, I went to the bookstore nearby and already found the August issue of Muscle Media. I was totally shocked when I saw it cause I only picked up the previous issue at the beginning of last week. But I am not complaining cause it gave me something new to read on the stationary bike. Day 77: July 2, 2000Week 11 is now at an end, and here is the craziest thing, I am now on a week long vacation from work for Week 12. The vacation was only arranged within the last 4 weeks, and was not in the plans when I started the 12 Week Challenge. The family and I are planning to go away for a few days after the 4th, but I will continue with the program. I am already getting set for my next 12 weeks and am considering continuing this site with daily updates for the next 12 weeks. This site has definitely been an added inspiration for me to keep going through the challenge and not give up, and from what others have told me, it has been am inspiration for them as well. If I do, I will create a whole new set of pages listing the next 12 weeks stemming off the Goals page. Well, it is time to move onward to the final week of my first 12 Week Challenge.
