Week of: April 17, 2000Day 1: April 17, 2000Felt great today, ate very well, got all six meals in today which included 3 Myoplex Shakes. Upper body workout was good, could have been better at the end with arms. For Chest, Shoulders and Back, I definitely got my intensity up to 10 but the arms only reached a 9 for biceps and an 8 for triceps. Will definitely pick that up on Friday's upper body workout. Came home and had my wife take my official before pictures. Will get them posted here later this week. The picture on "The Lie" page was taken on March 27, 2000. Getting up at 5:00 AM tomorrow to get to the gym in the morning before work. Cardio, all Cardio.....Yeah!! Day 2: April 18, 2000Up at 5:15 AM, in the gym at 5:45 AM for a 20 minute Stationary Bike ride. Felt real good. Can get used to the idea of morning workouts, but on weight days would be hard do to time restraints. I still have to get to work by 7:30 and I would be pushing the limit there. Will try it though, when I get used to getting up at 5:00 as opposed to 6:00 AM. My meals got a bit backed up today while at work, so wound up missing one.... But that is OK, I still felt good and was not hungry at all today. Drank lots of water today, so that helped. Legs and Abs tomorrow. Am psyched for it! Onward!!! Day 3: April 19, 2000Great workout today for Legs and Abs. Got a good burn on my Quads and Calves. Finished in 46 minutes. A few minutes over the plan, but it was due more to having to remove weights off the Leg Press machine than anything else. I hit my peaks on all my exercises, even though I fell short of the planned reps on the Leg Extensions. Got all my meals in, a little behind schedule, but got them all in. And once again, tomorrow, I'm getting up early to get my cardio workout done before work..... Let's Do It!!! Day 4: April 20, 2000Have to get used to getting up early on the days I want to do my workouts before work. Mainly, these will be my cardio days due to time constraints of when the gym opens in the morning and getting to work on time. Wanted to get up at 5:00 AM, was up at 5:25 AM. I know, not a big delay, but still not what I was shooting for. But here is the good news, I did get to the gym and got my cardio workout done. Have to stick with the stationary bike though, did the treadmill today, but my big toes was bothering me and was feeling some discomfort there as I walked. But, otherwise, felt good being in there getting it done. Tomorrow is Upper Body again. Gonna make it better than Monday's U.B. workout..... Day 5: April 21, 2000Woke up this morning feeling my legs which definitely tells me I hit'em good on Wednesday. Love that feeling! Fantastic Upper Body workout!!! It was a crummy day out weather wise and that meant the gym was empty. Mixed up my exercises a bit for arms. Did cable stuff as opposed to dumbbells and it felt good. All my meals fell into place, although about an hour behind schedule. feeling great thru this first week. Looking forward to next week. Cardio tomorrow, gotta hit it early. Day 6: April 22, 2000Missed the gym today, couldn't wake up today the way I wanted, then had daughter's softball practice where I am the assistant coach. This was followed with having to go to do my "Magic" at Wendy's restaurant. And finally, came home and took the kids to a birthday party. With that, the day was shot. Meals were also crazy, so it looks like I am making this day my "Off Day" and will get back on track tomorrow. Not a problem, always, the focus is on the future and how I will make tomorrow a better day. Day 7: April 23, 2000Happy Easter to everyone! And with that, week 1 is now complete. Got my cardio workout in, but it was not at full intensity. Only reached an intensity level of 8, but will pick it up again tomorrow. Looking forward to Legs and Abs tomorrow. All out intensity will be back with me. Till then..... look forward to week 2. |
