This department has a purpose built complex of ward, OPD and ICU which is set aside from the main hospital building. The wards are cheerfully painted with colouful pictures to make the young patient feel at ease. Mothers are encouraged to stay with the child during the hospitalization.

There is 24-hour cover of duty doctors experienced in child diseases and 24 hour consultant cover in the hospital.

Neonatal Intensive Care UnitFor newborn children. This is a unit with the facility to treat 8 new borns and there is a facility to provide ventilatory support for the babies who are not able to breathe on their own. The unit is well equipped with incubators for babies who were born pre-term, heat cradles to keep the babies warm and monitors to follow the condition of the babies.

Phototherapy Unit Neonatal Incubator

Paediatric Intensive Care Unit : This unit is for the care of seriously ill children and has the facility for monitoring and ventilation.

Well Baby Clinic : for immunization and for checking on the growth and development of normal children in the first 2 years of age. This is held every tuesday and thursday afternoon. Vaccines against common childhood diseases are available.

Developmental Paediatric Clinic : This is held weekly for children with congenital and acquired disabilities like cerebral palsy. It has a multidisciplinary and wholistic approach in helping the children and the families of the children.

Cleft lip Clinic : This is a clinic for children with facial abnormalities for surgical correction and rehabilitation. This is held on the second wednesday of every month.
