Elective Study
 Students from all over the globe are welcome to our hospital to gain a new perspective to medicine and at the same time to visit India. Many students from U.K, Australia and Germany have come to Mysore, gaining a wide range of experience in both hospital based medicine and community medicine. Knowledge of English is essential as we cannot teach in any other language. The student is encouraged to join in all activites of the hospital and become part of the extended Holdsworth Family during and after their stay. The student has choice of 5 departments : Medicine, Paediatrics. Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Surgery and Community Medicine to spend their period with us. Obstetrics will be available only for female students). A program to include at least 2 specialities is offered. In addition, a stay at our rural hospital situated at Mangala can be arranged. This will give exposure to medicine as practiced in a small 20 bedded hospital and of the community outreach programs. Accomodation and food is provided for a nominal charge of $5/day.
