This is our largest department with 8 duty doctors and 5 consultants providing cover for 24 hours emergency care. All these medical officers are trained in emergency procedures in advanced cardiac life support.

ICCU : The department has a 7 bedded intensive care unit, which is fully equipped with central monitoring units, ventilators, arterial pressure and Swan Ganz monitoring. This is for all acute medical emergencies like myocardial infarctions (heart attacks), respiratory problems and strokes. The unit is staffed with trained ICU nurses and has a doctor stationed in the ICU around the clock.

HDU : In addition there is a separate 10 bedded high dependency unit for the care of patients that require a higher level of nursing and medical care than in a general ward. This is also fully staffed with trained ICU nurses and equipped with patient monitors.

NEPHROLOGY : Our dialysis unit headed by two nephrologists offer help to all renal disease and renal failure patients

Nephrology dialysis unit - For haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis

CARDIOLOGY : There are two cardiologists and facilities for non invasive testing of the heart with echocardiography, holter ECG monitoring and treadmill test.

Cardiology Lab with Stress Test- Treadmill Test- 24hour Holter ECG monitoring

Neurology and dermatology services are available with 2 consultant dermatologists. The department of medicine also runs an allergy clinic. Contact the hospital for details.

OPD Timings for this department are as follows:

Monday to Friday : 10 am to 12:30 pm and 3 to 5pm

Saturday 10am to 1 pm.
