Peter enlisted in the Army of the U.S. on 17 July 1778 with Christian MARKEL (Christina's brother) and Frederick KREMER (her cousin) and may have been in th 4th Battalion, Lancaster Co. Militia under Captain John Gillchreest during the Revolutionary War. On 11 November 1794, he bought land in Peters Township, Franklin Co., PA. He also owned land in Knoxville Co., Tennessee. Peter died before his last child, Christiana, was born.
