"Soldiers fight, thieves steal, bards sing, wizards cast, sages think, assassins kill. Good or Evil we all have a job. So tell me this. What the hell are nobles and merchants for?"
- Thoughts of an Old Sage

From the Histories of Connor Normal:
24 - 25 Kythorn 1377: The Travelers move on to the next room where there is a ceremony to bring forth Orcus. The Travelers try to stop this, but are overwhelmed (it didn't help that Sorbe was twinked out and Markheim was held at bay). The lich mages and vampiric barbarians, ghouls and orc worshipers attack, though it is mostly the lich mages that do the most damage. Markheim take the Travelers back to the Cathedral of One where he does a commune to learn that the crown of horns has been sacrificed to make Orcus the God of Death (and undead) in Faerun. Smitty asked Markehim to resurrect Elan so he can return to Endhome with her. Illarion decides this is the perfect time to retire to the Forest of Lethyr. Harold offers his services to Markheim in the service of The One. The Chaos Twins go to burn down Luskan. Sorbe is presumed to have returned to her duties as death in the Necropolis.
Thus closes this book on The Travelers.
The new campaign will take place in Daggerdale.

Helpful Hint: Appraise: The character can sense magical auras in objects.
Task = DC
Detect magic = 50
Detect Magic: The character can sense if an item has a magical aura. He or she can then use Spellcraft to learn more about the item as if he or she had already cast detect magic on the item. This requires a full-round action.
