NEVERWINTER ACADEMY

The Neverwinter Academy is located in the large city of Neverwinter on the North Sword Coast in Faerun. A walled city of humans and half-elves, Neverwinter is cultured without being arrogant, bustling without being greedy, and charming without being quaint. The city is best know for the products of its master craftfolk: lamps of multicolored glass, precision water clocks, and exquisite jewelry. It is also famous for its gardens, heated by the supernaturally warm waters of the Neverwinter River. The gardens fill the markets with fruit in the summer and enliven winter with flowers.

The city's three architectural marvels are its bridges: the Dolphin, the Winged Wyvern, and the Sleeping Dragon. Each bridge is intricately carved into a likeness of the creature it is named after. Neverwinter and its ruler, Lord Nasher Alagondar (Fighter 18) nearly always side with Waterdeep against Luskan and the orcs.

The Neverwinter Academy is lead by Headmaster/Loremaster Arlan of Silverymoon (Male Human Cleric of Denier 11/Loremaster 10). He is assisted by Marian Steelfarmer (Male Gnome Wizard 20), Lady Jannda Hollysword the Strong (Female Elven Cleric of Corellon Laretian 20), Aliaga Armorsmith (Female Human Fighter 19), and Quogeon Laughshield (Male Halfling Rogue 20).

Neverwinter features temples of Helm (Helm's Hold is presided over by its founder, Dumnal Erard (LN Human Paladin 18)), Tyr (The Hall of Justice is controlled by Reverend Judge Olef Uskar (LN Human Paladin 19)), and Oghma (The Halls of Inspiration are overseen by Sandrew the Wise (LN Human Bard 21)). Within the Neverwinter Academy are temples to Denier, Shaundakul, Tymora, Corellon Laretian (and all elven gods), and smaller temples to the Gaerdal Ironhand, Gorm Gulthyn, and Arvoreen.
