David B's Xnews Help Pages

Xnews is a free newsreader written by Luu Tran. It is one of my favourite newsreaders, but the wealth of options mean it can be a bit daunting to a newbie. I've put together these pages to provide some extra information that may be useful for new users; additionally, Luu's manual is also available. I'm David Breach by the way :-)

I've also put together a few pages detailing some of the other software that I use, that some may find interesting. Or not.

Want to know what Xnews look like before you try it? See some screenshots of my setup (virtually all aspects of the display are customisable) here:

Other useful Xnews information

For more Xnews related goodies also check out DC's page.

Ralf Hasse has a great site which explains the function of Xnews's menus, which may be useful if you're new to reading news with Xnews.

Other Software

The links below take you to my pages which detail some of the free software I use for various tasks. Alternatively, a small index page with more details is available here.
