Xnews Setup - Storage

This tab sets Xnews storage options. Xnews is NOT an offline newsreader, but it can store headers and/or message bodies for future reference. The option on this tab sets the global option. Storage options for individual groups can be set individually by modifying the groups.ini file.

'Save nothing' means that Xnews will not store anything between sessions. Therefore when you next open a group, only new articles (those that are unread) will be displayed.

'Save headers' and Save headers and articles' will make Xnews keep some or all of the downloaded messages. This may be useful if you want to reference any previous posting. However, it does require more hard-disk space (especially if article bodies are saved).
