Welcome to my cave

If I suddenly disappeared tomorrow would you miss me?
Would you cry for me? Would you have regrets?
Why chance the regrets when all you could ever want is
right here - right now within reach? Unconditional love is a very
rare occurrence in this lifetime. Not everyone has
the exceptional qualities it takes to receive such a gift.
When it is offered... why think twice?
Take it willingly if it is given to you. Cherish it as you
would a newborn baby. Hold onto it tight, and fight to keep it.
Life is too short to have these kind of regrets.
Take a chance on life, live it to its fullest...
Love and be loved like there is no tomorrow.

Captive

As I sit here contemplating the reasons why
You have left me alone again; I wonder most of all
Why I put myself through another day of loving you.
The mind reels with thoughts of wanting you, only
To have those feelings left on the doormat awaiting your return.
See that shoe scuff over there? Don't wipe me off like
Mud from your boots. Don't leave me yearning for your
Words of tender embraces. Instead, notice the need in me.
I am no nameless face in the crowd, but a real, breathing
Woman that needs you; longs for you. Time cannot change
Who a person is, but it can ease the pain of who a
Person is not. I refuse to be that toy that is tossed
Aside when you no longer want to play with it.
Chances are if you look close enough, I am what you have
Searched for all along. Best friend, confidante, and even
The lover you thought you would never find; the
Kitten and tigress to play with during the days and nights.
Take me, as I am, what I feel, and who I always will be...
A woman that is captive to her heart and soul.
