Alone

I sit here alone again,
Waiting, wanting, longing...
To hear your voice again, it haunts me,
Your touch and caress, it thrills me.
To know you're not around,
To know I can't reach out to you,
To know I can't soothe your ache,
This is more than I can take.

To be sitting next to you,
Willing, wanting, longing...
To listen to your voice again, it melts me,
It soothes and calms, it embraces me,
To be near you is all I need,
To touch you in a gentle loving way,
To fold you in my arms to take away the pain,
Just to be with you once again.
