Heroes

Heroes are friends always there,
Who always have a shoulder to spare,
Who are willing to listen when you're down,
Who make you smile instead of frown. 

Heroes are knights in armor astride steeds,
Who are always quick with wonderful deeds,
Who come charging in when most needed,
Who give advice that is always heeded. 

Heroes are lovers that sense your every mood,
Who will sit with you just to gaze at the moon,
Who know where the touch will elicit a sigh,
Who have warm kisses in endless supply.

Heroes are from many races and places,
Who come into our lives with angelic faces,
Who may be near to you or off afar,
Who is, in your eyes, a bright glorious star. 

You are my Hero, now and always.
