Song: "I can't believe that nobody's dancing, romancing, inviting somebody to play in the rain" By Randall Shreve
Mood: Reviewing and renewing
Time: 1:04pm
Weather: Sunny and warm comforting day
This week has been full of amazing moments! First off, Happy Birthday to Shannon! Tuesday was her birthday and she got to celebrate with us during the amazing Sister Hazel Benefit concert at HOB on Thursday. Thursday was a really busy day for me. Got to work at 6:45am and was flipped flopped all around from DRC to Lobby to a meeting with my "one-on-one" and then back to the Lobby. Got out at a decent time though and got to complete some much needed errands. Finally, got all my stuff completed in time to meet up with Shannon, Courtney, Amanda, Tony & Ray at the show. There were a few pop-up surprises with seeing Kyra and TJ, Kelly, Vic and Pauly, etc. It was great!
On Friday, I woke up at a decent time to get in some running time to clear my head before an important meeting. Was walking briskly to my meeting location and I was staring at my shadow on the ground while walking when I noticed and felt a bird hitting the back of my head with it's feet. It freaked me out at first, of course, and I thought perhaps he was just confused and wanted to land on something and didn't realize that I was moving, but he did it again, with me still seeing the outline of this large bird in my shadow. It was forceful, it hurt and it brought me back to the Alfred Hitchcock movie "The Birds" so of course, I ran to the closest building and it had seemed to go away. I talked about it with Glen once I got to where I had been heading and he said he had it happen before from a bird that was nesting and was nervous that he was too close to the nest, so might have been my case as well. But now I understand Jane Wong's fear of birds. It's amazing how one situation can change your entire outlook on a general subject. I guess that's why when one bad thing happens at Walt Disney World, people get so passionate as to say that made them never want to come back. I kind of get that now a bit more.
The meeting was okay. One of those moments where you know you could have done better, but it wasn't bad. Just strange, but I've definitely learned from it in many ways no matter what the outcome. I'm happy that I had the opportunity and for now, that's enough. After my "meeting" I headed over to get my oil changed and it was perfect timing. I hiked it up to Barnes & Noble because I have been craving a book to read lately. Was successful there and in perfect timing to head back to get Lance. The rest of the day was spent relaxing, watching movies, reading my book, catching up on CCMaD stuff and completing the day with an hour workout session. Really, a perfect day.
Saturday, I got up early to run and get some stuff done before heading over to meet Shannon and help her move into a new apartment. Helped them out and got it all done, before heading out to get ready for a tour that started way later in the day. I was to meet the tour at 4pm, which is highly unusual. It was an irregular tour with an irregular group, but it wasn't bad, just different. Missed my Dirty Shannon opportunity at Wall Street, but duty calls and my job is first priority. I made magic and that's all that counts. Even if there was no magic for me that day. I *did* get to see some friends, Rachel & Tomomi, and that brightened my day.
Sunday, worked at Gateway with Randy and Sarah Genson. It was a good and quick day. I like the solitude out there. Yes, it does get crazy sometimes, but when it's slow, it's really slow. It gets quiet and all you can hear are the sounds coming from whatever mix cd I am playing in the booth. It's great.
Yesterday was MaD Monday! Day. I worked at the window and it was uneventful until my very last situation that almost kept me there past my time to leave, but I was successful in banking out in record time and getting out on time. Happiness. Basically when I got home, I changed, ate some fruit and headed out the door to make it up to Liquid Cellar in time for my duties. Got there in pretty good time. The bands were still loading in and I did my quick meet and greet and got down to work. It was a great MaD Monday! again. We have been really fortunate in having a great and supportive crowd continuously come back every MaD Monday! I heart our community! Words Now Heard, Tenspoke Indies and Kissing Karma all rocked it and everyone really enjoyed all the bands! It was a nice mix!
I love the nights when everyone is just having a good time, enjoying the company, the music, the spirits and networking within the company. My perfect night. Had so much fun with all the band members, Chris Mac and crew, Tony and Rick, Tibby and friend Rob, the CCMaD crew *grin*, almost all of PI's crew came out *rock on*, etc. It was a fun night for all!
Come check out our Acoustic Showcase this Friday at Natura Coffee in Downtown Orlando with Michael Scott (formally of Agent 99), Berg & Randall Shreve. Music starts at 10pm. $3 ALL ages show!
I finished my book...onto another to feed the brain.

Song: "why, do we live in the drama, it's all make-believe" By Five Star Iris
Mood: Fighting it all
Time: 9:37pm
Weather: A stormy, rainy day
My week has been pretty amazing and crazy, as usual. The 5th was our MaD Monday! with Alden, Charlie Hotel & One Last Stand. Alden (from California) was amazing! A very talented acoustic artist, she was on tour with her manager here on the east coast and we were graced with her music. She opened the night in a perfect way. The bands had a bunch of people out, which was amazing! Thanks to all our MaD Monday! regulars and our wonderful friends! It was a perfect night of networking! Good times had by all!
Got through the next couple of days and celebrated a night out on Wednesday with Cali, Elizabeth, Shannon, Katrina & Jeff, with a random run-in with Lisa (yay!) to see Fish with the Tom Sartori band at PI. It was a good night. Chris & Clinta was there so again, we felt like home. *grin* Left pretty exhausted and frozen. PI has gotten really cold lately....a jacket is always with me now!
Left for Atlanta early on Thursday and got there in really good time. I had enough time to take a little run around my neighborhood. I ran up to my elementary school, which seems so much smaller now, and headed to the playground to reminise a bit. I used the swings to work out a bit more and then ran down a huge hill back home. By the time I had showered and changed, my brother brought my mom home from her physically therapy meeting. It was good to see them again! Headed out to my Girl Scout Reunion from there and got to see a lot of old friends. "Make new friends, but keep the old" *grin* Melissa, Jessica, Amy, Laura, Dea, etc. It was good to see them all again. After hanging out a bit and taking some pictures, we headed to dinner at a mexican restaurant. Good times there! Who knew 32 oz was so big. *grin*
After dinner, Jess and I went to meet up with Berg at Cosmopolitan in downtown Atlanta. I met Gary from Obsession Day, John S, Jamal, Lucy, etc. Some amazing people and very talented musicians. It was a great night of good music. Got to hang out with Lucy for awhile and helped her with a close call on a scam artist. What an adrendline run. Craziness, but in the end, everything worked out. Fun night.
On Friday, I hung out with my mom. We went shopping and talked. It was good to have some mother/daughter time. Berg called shortly after his studio time and I headed downtown to meet him at the Atlantic Station, which was awesome! I really like the new addition to downtown Atlanta. We were early enough before the 5SI show to do some shopping around Atlantic Station, so we got some clothes and chatted until 5SI began to play. Five Star Iris had an amazing show and a lot of people were out and about to listen to them, which was great! I heart those boys!
T showed up right after the show and we all headed to Tower Records, where I saw Big 10-4's posters all around. Yay! Then, off to Three Dollar Cafe! We got a table outside to listen to Gary from Obsession Day and Steven from Main Street East. They cracked us up. Amazing night of music, laughs and good times with great friends! Berg, Rashon, Thunder, Gary's wife, T and I had a great time bonding over good times and good friends! I have never laughed so hard! Good people!
Saturday, I got up and headed out with the parents (finally got to see Dad after being back!) to go see Sean's gymnastics meet. It was so cute! Got to see Richie and Evan then Jenn and her family. It was great to hang out with Evan and Sean. It's amazing how big they have gotten since my last trip to see them. Craziness! The meet was too cute and Sean did everything so good! Right after the meet, she ran up and gave me the biggest hug! Was so good to see everyone again!
After the meet, the parents and I headed to a really cool park. Not just any park, but the McDaniel's Park where there are old houses, barns, etc. It was really cool and a perfect place for a photo shoot, I decided. *grin* After we walked around a bit, we headed to lunch at Sweet Tomato's, a first for all of us. It was super good and no guilt leaving that restaurant. The best bran muffins ever! *grin* After we ate, we headed home and it was time for me to head home to Orlando. It was an amazing and much needed trip. Got home in really good time and got things back in order and got ready to head out with Cali to PI for some support for Fish. Got to see Lon, Chris & Sherry with her family. It was a good night, but we were both really tired, so we headed home early for some rest.
I've noticed that as much as I try to avoid or stay away from drama it "follows you around" even if it's not really involving me and sometimes I am just done with wanting to be around it or hearing any of it. I wish my life lacked drama, but somehow it's always just there.
Today was a resting and relaxing day. I got up leisurely, went running, ran my errands, got poured on *grin* but every now and then you need to get poured on, it was nice. I got all my paperwork done and worked on my plan for the week. Things seem to be in order. Things are good. I watched "The Truth about Cats and Dogs" during our stormy moments and napped a good part of the day. It was a nice day. Now back to work!

Song: "so I'll wait by a palm tree, a palm tree, a palm tree" By Jack's Mannequin
Mood: Under detox still
Time: 2:49pm
Weather: I heart Florida
"and I've got friends, la la la la, to help me get through..." I heart Jack's Mannequin. Most amazing show ever! Went to HOB with Shannon, 867 and Fish. Ran into Melanie, Xavier and the entire Big 10-4 crew, management and all. Good times. I heart Andrew. He was amazing...not only a great preformer and writer, but he just seems like such an amazing person in general. Not only was it a great show, but it was a life-changing and soul-refreshing cleaning that I needed. We had a blast!
Next day was a wonderful day! I had the day off (yay!) and I was able to get a lot done. Ran, bought new work shoes, went to the grocery store and was done by 2pm to meet up with Cali for our West Palm Beach roadtrip. We had a good time getting down there. Just enjoying our music and the beautiful day drive. Got down to WPB in perfect timing, parked (thanks to Mark! *giggle*) and ate a quick lunch before getting to the stage. Heard the beginnings of the first song by Five Star Iris as we were turning the corner and went to get our spots near the front of the stage. It was so good to see those boys again. I heart them! AB spotted us and we were recruited to do some photography and filming for the band. It took me a couple songs to get accustomed to the quick zoom option, but after a bit, it was golden. Those band boys crack me up. Good times. During their first break, the DJ played an old Big Sky demo. I was stoked...and the only one really rocking out to it, but I didn't care, it was great!
The boys were bombarded with merch sales and signings, it was very good for them and fun to watch. We took a break, got a smoothie and enjoyed the next set. There were tons of people there...and growing by the minutes. They were preforming for Clematis By Night, an every-Thursday event in WPB and they were opening up for Natasha Bedingfield so word had apparently gotten around. They rocked it out and we had a great time singing along and laughing with them over hilarious dancers.
Hung around and was recruited to work their merch for a bit, which we gladly helped out with. We had a great view of Natasha Bedingfield's set, short but good. We were able to talk to a lot of new 5SI fans and it was a very cool experience. We hung out with them after the event and just caught up on everything. They are adorable.
Got home around 1am and crashed, it had been a very full day. Next day, I had an amazing tour with a family from Atlanta (my hometown peeps), who were completely perfect and wonderful. We had a great day at the Magic Kingdom. Got home at a decent time, but I had pretty much double-booked myself that day so I was crazy rushing around the entire time. Got some CCMaD things done, hurried over to Emma's 1-year birthday party with some co-workers, rushed back for a CCMaD meeting at Natura and got a lot accomplished there. Then, headed over to Tatame with G, met up with Shannon, 867, Sophia, Pete, Matty Matt, Big 10-4 boys, etc to watch Randall Shreve amaze me yet again with his talent. It was a good show! G and I headed out a bit early though so she could get some work done and I could go run. It was a very productive day.
Saturday, I had the same tour family from the day before, but we discovered DAK on the second day. They were still adorable as usual and it was a very good day, hot, but good. We finished fairly early and I headed back home to run some errands, clean and finish up preparation for my upcoming trip to the ATL. Got my run in and then headed to PI with Cali and G to support Harry Dash (aka Tenspoke Indies playing MaD Monday on June 19th!) and see Chris Mac, Lon and Clinta. We had our usual wonderful crew there. Lon gave us a shout-out and found us our "dancing song". Chris Mac made fun of us the entire night. I got all the crazies as usual coming up to me. We met the rest of the band and bonded a bit with them while rocking out to their amazing show. I was exhausted by the end of it, but it was well-worth it.
Hanging out at the GR window, enjoying watching the rain come pouring down. It's beautiful. Sun and rain mixed with the ground glistening. I heart Florida.

-Why I like *NSYNC-
It's their personalities and the way their characteristics come through their singing/dancing style. They made me laugh, they make me smile
-*NSYNC Quote of the Moment-
"I think the hardest thing is that when you're apart from someone,
you put them on a pedestal, and when you meet them, you realize
that they're human and make mistakes, and it gets in the way
of your relationship. Try not to think of that person as being
perfect, but as being special. And that's all from Dear Abby."
-Chris Kirkpatrick from *NSYNC on AOL Chat 2002-

"Some dreams just fade away

some dreams are made to stay
your one dream I'll never forget
