R91. Minas Tirith is the first city – and the first house of Men -- the hobbits ever lived in for any length of time. Did they have any conversations about it? Was there any aspect of the city or its dwellings they enjoyed, and wanted to introduce to the Shire? Was there any aspect they couldn’t wait to be away from?

R92. One of the hobbits gets a bit “big for his britches” –- a swelled head due to the unexpected fame and honors from the citizenry of Minas Tirith. Do his companions -– or possibly the King -– try to bring him back down to earth? How?

R93. Faramir visits Rath Dínen to pay his respects to the ancient White Tree (now supplanted by the seedling Aragorn and Gandalf found). What are his thoughts? Does he speak to anyone about his feelings about his City –- and its people –- coming into a new Age?

R94. Money in Gondor might look quite different than what the hobbits are used to seeing in the Shire. How do they learn (and from whom) the value of Gondorian money, and what do they think of this foreign coinage?

R95. Back in Rivendell after the Quest, Bilbo and Sam team up to re-teach Frodo “his letters” –- how to write effortlessly again with only four fingers on his right hand. How does Sam feel, seeing Frodo go through the same painstaking writing lessons he, himself once went through with “Mr. Bilbo”? How does Bilbo feel, guiding “his lad” back through it all? How does Frodo feel?

R96. Donated bunny from Periantari:
We hear a lot about Frodo's healing in Cormallen ... or in the Shire. But how about Sam? He's gone through so much, as much as Frodo; he’s obviously not as hurt and didn't carry the Ring as long as Frodo, but he's hurt too, and needs some care as well to help him. Though Sam's spirit may not have been as damaged psychologically by the Ring as Frodo’s had been, he's been through thick and thin. With mention of his debating with himself in Mordor, specifically in the chapter "Land of Shadow", there needs to be a fic that explores all Sam's thoughts and how he needs some caring in Cormallen and the Shire, too. Sam is Harthad Uluithiad, yet he's a simple hobbit of the Shire, and has evolved so much and learned as much as Merry and Pippin did since their initial desire to just be with Frodo. Sam has become a conspirator, jester, warrior... Almost everything Frodo expected him to be and more.

R97. When Pippin is in Minas Tirith, Beregond teaches him the "lesser pass-words" so Pippin can travel about the City fairly freely. Do Merry, Sam, and Frodo ever learn these pass-words? If so, from whom? Or... after the War is won, is there no longer any need for pass-words and restricted areas? Can the citizens now travel freely about their City, as they haven't been able to do for many years?

R98. Donated bunny from Periantari:
Merry is anxious upon Pippin’s leaving to fight at the Black Gate.... even afraid and reluctant to let him go. He does not agree to Pippin leaving at first, but Pippin (and/or Aragorn) tells Merry why it is a necessity that it be done.

R99. Donated bunny from Periantari:
How about a little ficlet about Merry's response to Bergil telling him in ROTK, "Come Master Perian! You are still in pain, I see. I will help you back to the Healers. But do not fear! They will come back. The Men of Minas Tirith will never be overcome..." (From ‘The Black Gate Opens’) What does Merry think of this reassurance and this unforeseen companionship? How does he respond?

R100. Donated bunny from Surgicalsteel:
How might things have been different if Halbarad survived the Pelennor Fields?

R101. Frodo, Sam, and Pippin recovered at Cormallen from late March to early April; surely the springtime weather in Ithilien wasn't blissfully perfect every day. Perhaps there was a day or two of rain, wind, colder-than-usual air... what was done to ensure that the hobbit heroes were kept warm, dry, and comfortable?

R102. It's obvious from many passages in the books that Gimli is quite devoted to his hobbit friends. What is he thinking about when Aragorn honors Frodo and Sam at Cormallen (or in the movie, all four of the hobbits at Minas Tirith)? Does he try to hide his feelings, or is he quite open about them?

R103. Donated bunny from Periantari:
Sam's waking coincided with the time of his birthday (waking was April 8th; his birthday is said to be April 6th). Were the hobbits cognizant of this and did they do anything special for him?

R104. Donated bunny from Slightlytookish:
At Cormallen, or in Minas Tirith, Frodo discovers one effect of the Ring's destruction - a grey hair (or hairs) sprouting up on his head. After so many years of Frodo being "well-preserved" by the Ring, compounded by what he went through to destroy it, it seems likely that the aging process would at last show up in him at least a bit. (Could be comedic or angsty.)

R105. As the Quest wore on, Sam began to see, now and then, Frodo shining with light. This says as much about the true essence of Frodo as the evolving and deepening perceptions of Sam. Write a scene where Sam is talking about what he’s seen to someone he feels might understand him. Does he talk with Gandalf? Aragorn? Elrond? Rosie? Frodo? Someone else?
