TTT BUNNIES (1)
Plot Bunnies for "The Two Towers" Fanfiction

T1. Quickbeam spent a whole day with Merry and Pippin -- what did he think of these tiny, hasty beings?

T2. In TTT, Faramir says that there's "something Elvish" about Frodo. At this point in his life, Faramir has never seen or met an Elf; what is it about Frodo that prompts this remark?

This bunny was adopted and raised by:
Dreaminoflorien;
It Was His Eyes

T3. Merry asks Gandalf what Saruman would have done to him and Pippin if they had been brought to Isengard.

T4. Donated bunny from Aryador:
"It was not in vain that the young hobbits came with us, if only for Boromir's sake."

Gandalf says this in the Two Towers while talking to Aragorn. It was obvious then that Merry and Pippin formed some sort of friendship with Boromir during the Fellowship. Gandalf foretold that Merry and Pippin both had a larger role to play, but if early on their coming was only for Boromir's sake (and sanity perhaps), our young hobbits must have done something pretty powerful.

T5. Book- or Movie-bunny: What are Saruman’s thoughts and feelings when he realizes that his palantir is gone?

T6. When Theoden, Gandalf, and the rest listen to Saruman’s voice at Isengard, we learn later that Merry was stung by Saruman referring to the hobbits as “rag-tag” dangling at Gandalf’s tail. How was Pippin affected by Saruman’s voice? What did he hear and experience while listening?

T7. After Frodo faints from exhaustion at Henneth Annun, Sam lays in bed awake for a long while, thinking.

T8. When they meet Merry and Pippin again at Isengard, Gimli mentions to them that their hair “is twice as thick and curly as when we parted.” The hobbits begin to wonder what a wee sip of Ent draught would do to Gimli’s hair -- or to Legolas or maybe Strider’s -- and wouldn't it be fun to find out?

T9. We know how overjoyed Gimli was to see Pippin and Merry at Isengard after he, Legolas, and Aragorn had pursued them for so long, because he burst out in a tirade of rage and joy. But what was Legolas thinking? How about Aragorn? Just because they don’t speak at the Gate doesn’t mean they’re unmoved at seeing the hobbits again.
