�All right! All right!� Zero yelled. �Luna, you will be prepared to fight at any moment, correct?�

�As long as you don�t lock me up in a stasis chamber when I�m not fighting,� Luna replied.

�Very well. I guess I might as well grant you some more authority to command, as well, seeing as Tetra won�t be out for a while ...�

�Don�t worry, I�ve got you covered,� Luna said, smiling for the first time, and then popping a new piece of gum in her mouth.

�Yay,� Ruby cheered, �a new friend!�

Ruby and the rest of the Absolute Zero team began asking Luna lots of questions about her.

�Where did you say you came from again?�

�Zanaka. It was a country on a small planet, but you can call it the moon.�

�Just how old are you anyway?�

�How are you so awesome with all this technology?�

�You could say my civilization was very advanced.�

�Cool, do you have any specific tech skills, then?�

�Of course!�

Zero attempted to slip away amongst the chatter. Alex stopped him. �You and I still have some other matters to discuss.�

�What, are you just looking to make my day even worse now?� Zero huffed.

�No. You were supposed to send me on my mission to search for Nuemia. Whatever happened to that plan?�

�Uh ... sorry about that. I�ll send you first thing tomorrow.�

Zero escaped and made his way back to the stasis chambers. Alex decided that this was a good chance to get a better start on things, and decided to head home and relax.

�Jacinta, why are you still here?� Alex asked when he returned home.

�Why are you still here, scumbag! I thought you were leaving today! I almost thought you left without me!�

�Things happened and the plan was changed.�

�Can�t you see how they�re controlling you?�

�I�m not even listening to that.�

Jacinta forced herself to calm down a bit and changed her tone of voice. �Say, since you�re not leaving, do you think tonight ...�

�No.�

�Pleeeease, just ...�

Jacinta was interrupted by a knock at the door. She hid in a corner of the room as Alex proceeded to answer the knock. He opened the door to Luna�s oft-stoic face showing a hint of a smile and some uncertainty. Luna quickly rearranged her face to its common emotionless mode.

�Thanks for sticking your neck out for me. That was about the last thing I expected.�

�I just didn�t think Zero should have spoken about you and treated you with such disrespect.�

�Hmph. I�m not one to complain. It�s not like I had much respect for him either. Besides, respect is something I leave to action, not hollow words.�
