�No,� Luna growled, looking maliciously at Zero as she continued to lose her ability to mask her emotions. �I have no place to go back to. My home was destroyed.�

Alex actually felt sorry for Luna now. He could begin to understand why she had been so bitter before. �How?� he asked with a slight tone of empathy.

Luna tried to relax her expression and anger. �I�m not sure how. It was so sudden ...�

�I came from a place that used to be called Zanark. As I was starting to be recognized as an adult, my world somehow became latched onto this world. I was sent to this world to search for any clue as to why this was happening. I saw many strange things, but not a single hint as to why my world had suddenly been chained to this one. I tried to return home, but when I got to the place where my world was chained to this one, there was an earthquake. My world was pulling on this world, and broke the chain between the worlds. I watched as my home world rose in this world�s sky, until it suddenly ...�

Luna stopped.

�Exploded,� Zero finished for her. �Or so she says. I would think if something like that happened, it would have been a major historical event. I�d think someone would notice if the moon exploded, like she said it did.�

�The moon?� Ruby asked.

�Well, the way she talks about her world, it sounds like it was some other moon,� Zero replied.

�Zero, if you�re so suspicious about her, why did you maker her your third in command?� Alex asked. �That�s a pretty high rank for someone you don�t trust!�

�Luna can handle the technology really well, but I only use her in emergencies. She�s usually kept in stasis.�

�So she really is the third in command, then?�

�Hardly. She�s just an extra commander, for when Tetra and I are too busy to pilot the city.�

Luna was once again unable to maintain her stoic expression, and disgust covered her face. It was obvious that she was offended by what Zero was saying.

�Well ...� Alex said uncertainly.

�What?� Zero snapped.

�I ...�

Alex was nervous, but he could not help wanting to defend Luna in this situation. Certainly, his first impression of her had not given him any good reason to trust her, but he could not stand to see her suffering now.

�I trust Luna.�

�Huh?� Zero asked, confused by this statement. Luna was visibly surprised.

�I mean just what I said.�

�Are you serious?� Luna asked, not really sure what to think at the moment.

�I don�t know much about you, but I think I can trust you anyway,� Ruby chimed cheerily.

�What in the world is going on?� Zero mumbled to himself.

�If Luna wishes to fight against the Dark Matter, I do not see any reason to prevent her from doing that,� Mari added.
