Ruby turned to Court Jester and Alex as the somber silence of the room continued to linger. Alex was not sure whether or not he should say anything. He merely ambled to Zero�s side to see Tetra. Looking into the capsule, Alex was struck with horror, and gasped half-terrified.

�He will never be the same again,� Zero lamented. He was absolutely right. Tetra�s dormant body was severely damaged everywhere except for his left arm. His right arm, however, was missing completely.

�He can still be restored from this, though?� Alex asked.

�Given time, his body will mend.� Zero replied. Alex opened his mouth to ask about Tetra�s arm, but by the sad look in Zero�s eyes, the answer was evident. �Don�t ask how long it will take,� Zero stated threateningly. Alex snapped his mouth shut.

�There are others here,� Mari said. �They, too, are suffering and waiting. This place is certainly not for those with weak hearts.�

Alex looked at some of the other stasis capsules. A handful of other furries with serious and complicated injuries had also been left in stasis, waiting to heal. Some were marked with warnings, labeling those who had been infected with incurable illnesses.

�This is such a very depressing place,� Ruby mumbled.

The deadly silence continued once more as everyone reflected on the situation of Tetra and so many others in stasis. In some cases, it was evident that the furry inside would never come out again alive.

Alex tried to shake the sadness. �Excuse me, Zero. I need you to send me on my mission.�

The silence continued a moment longer. �Let us return to the control room, then,� Zero finally said.

Luna was still slumped in the control chair, chewing gum, when Alex and the others arrived. �All systems normal � no critical situations,� she told Zero informatively.

�Very well, then. Get out of here,� Zero instructed.

�I�m not leaving,� Luna objected, �until I hear an explanation about this other organization you�re running.�

Everyone but Alex, who understood what Luna meant, stared curiously at Zero. �She means Absolute Zero,� Alex explained.

�Why did you tell her about that, Alex?� Zero asked angrily.

�I didn�t know it was supposed to be some sort of secret ...�

�Yes you did! You know our resistance is supposed to be classified info, not known to the Dark Matter!�

�But the people on board ...�

�They could be spies!�

�She�s your third in command, though!�

�Shut up.� commanded Luna. �Zero has his own reasons he doesn�t want to trust me, and we are going to deal with that right now.�

�Luna, you should not question me in such a way, unless you want to be sent back to where you came from,� Zero threatened.

Luna glared at Zero with a look of deep irritation she could not contain. �Don�t mock me.�

�What�s wrong?� Ruby asked, �Did Luna come from a bad place?�
