�Oh, I said it again. I meant to say Neopolis, but, with as often as I get in here, I don�t pick up on the changes very quickly,� Luna replied. �Don�t se why we had to change the name, but everyone else insisted � it had already been changed � so I just went with it.�

Uncertain how to respond, Alex just shrugged. �So, tell me ... what happened to tetra?� he inquired.

�Tell me about your mission and Absolute Zero first.�

�I asked first,� Alex challenged.

�I outrank you.�

Alex sighed and gave up the argument. �Absolute Zero is an organization which was initiated by this ship�s commander. He and some other citizens on this ship have resolved to do everything in their power to stop the evil of the Dark Matter.�

�I guess I�ve missed out on a lot,� said Luna. �I�ve never heard of this Dark Matter. Would that have anything to do with that battle?�

�Yeah. The Dark Matter is a evil force that none of us really comprehend. We have no clue where it comes from or why it does it�s evil, but it has caused pain and suffering all over this world. Ruby says that the Dark Matter blackens peoples� hears and causes them to do evil things to each other. Until that dark army fought us, we were unaware that the Dark Matter was anything more than a looming shadow in the hearts of people. We never knew we would have to fight this thing like this.�

�Interesting. It makes sense,� said Luna, �but the battle doesn�t.�

�What about it don�t you understand?� asked Alex.

�Well, if we were in combat, why wasn�t I called to fight? Tetra is not a fighter. I am. He had no business being caught up in a fight before me.�

�Tetra fought against the Dark Matter?�

�Well, not exactly, but he shouldn�t have ... intervened so foolishly.�

�What happened? I never saw Tetra in the battle!�

�Well if you were actually fighting, I would hope not. Tetra is not a fighter. He�s an engineer and that�s it. But he�s dead loyal to captain Zero. He made a foolish mistake trying to protect him.�

�What? Protecting someone is not foolish!�

�Hmph ...� Tetra scowled as she continued to chew her gum. �You, like Tetra, probably think with your feelings first.�

�What exactly are you getting at?�

�I know there�s nothing wrong with protecting someone, but Tetra tried to save Zero by putting himself in the way of an attack. It would have been better for him to use some sort of shielding device instead, but he used himself as the shield and took the full force of a powerful attack!�

Alex looked sadly at the floor. �Tetra was brave ...�

�Foolish, Alan. Not as much brave as foolish.�

�Luna, there isn�t always time to make a plan to save someone!� Luna didn�t say anything, and continued to quietly chew her gum. �And my name�s Alex.�

�Whatever.�

Alex didn�t have the vaguest clue what to think about Luna; he wasn�t completely sure if he could trust her.
