Alex looked at Ruby apologetically. "I know. I'm sorry," he said with some embarrassment.

Ruby threw the skin at Alex angrily. It hit hard against his chest, and with a swift reflex, he caught it. "Thanks," he said, attempting to atone for his mistake. "A lot."

"Well," Ruby replied, "you're welcome. I guess you should rest now if you're gonna leave us all tomorrow. It's a big journey, ya know."

"Of course."

Ruby turned around and walked away. Alex watched her for a few blocks, completely fascinated. "I don't' think I've ever met anyone so amazing." He said to himself, and then started on his own way home.

Once Alex reached his block, he started feeling uncomfortable again. He felt as though something was nearby. "Ruby, is that you?" he asked nervously. There was no response - no one was there.

As Alex came closer to his home, he became more and more nervous. Now he was sure something was not right. His door was open. He tensed suddenly and crept very carefully toward his home. He peered into the door. A light was still on in one of the inner rooms, but Alex figured that it was his own fault that the light was still on. After another minute of cautious creeping, he supposed that the door may have been open due to his own negligence as well.

Alex walked across his living room without worry. Suddenly, he could not move; a rope was quickly coiled around his gut. He taken so much by surprise that he gasped and was about to scream when a soft hand clasped over his jaw. There was a very familiar feel to the hand, but Alex could not discern in his mind whose hand it was - he was far too panicked.

"So, you are cheating on me, aren't you?" came a familiar voice from behind Alex.

Alex managed to use his free arm to wrench the hand from his face. In a weak voice, he asked, "how did you get here, Jacinta?"

"Why don't you tell me first what you think you're doing here with that girl?" Jacinta demanded angrily.

"We're on a mission to prevent certain disaster from the Dark Matter."

"I know that much, I didn't just board this ship yesterday!"

"What?"

"I've been watching you for a long time. I knew not to trust you with that girl. I followed you into this city and became a citizen. I made sure not to make my presence known to you so you couldn't hid whatever you were planning to do. It looks like I've caught you red-handed!"

"What are you talking about?" Alex asked confusedly. Jacinta swiped the guapda skins from Alex's hand.

"Tell me what this is about you cheater!"

"Nothing that concerns you!" Alex yelled in reply. Jacinta jumped in front of him and looked at Alex eye-to-eye with intense anger. Alex suddenly realized that he had said the wrong thing.

"It damn well concerns me!" Jacinta screamed, "You're my boy, and I want to know what you've been doing with her, and why you have her underwear!"

"I'm not your boy, and that's not her underwear."
