 I think it's important that fans and non fans alike are really understanding what they're reading, so I have uploaded this map of Hogwarts (it's an actual collector's edition scan) and I've included some content so you can get an explanation of nearly everything on the map!  click on map for the full image Dark Forest- In the books it is referred to as the 'Forbidden Forest' but for some reason both this map and Warner Brothers seemed to think it was called the Dark Forest Quidditch Stadium- This is were all of the Hogwarts Quidditch games are played Whomping Willow- The Whomping Willow is a secret passageway into the Shrieking Shack, but it will "whomp" all that touches it (this map depicts the willow inside the Quidditch stadium, but I doubt it is actually there) Great Hall- The Great Hall is where students dine, but it is used for other occasions such as balls, sleeping quarters (if the castle has been invaded), and many other things Black Lake- As far as the books say, it's only called "the lake" and it's located somewhere in front of Hogwarts. First years cerremoniously cross the lake every year Hagrid's Hut- This tiny wooden hut on the edge of the forest is home to Hagrid the half giant Got any more questions about this map?
