Use command to Reset Modem         azt

that will show                               Ok

Use command to show Register settings at&v

set test timer register (S18) to desired time ats18=9

check S18 register has been changed     at&v

Run Local! Test between computer and modem at&t

Type in a string a characters to test

End Test and Reset Modem                 atz
(* may have to type (+++))

Run Local Modem Test              ats18=12&8

wait 12 seconds for error display
(it should display "000" if its is correct)

Reset Modem                          atz

Dial Second Computer for Remote Test

atdt (number #)

second computer may have answer   ata

wait for connect signal

second computer to give permission for test at&t4
( just before the first computer type the next command)

Fist computer to initiate test at&t6

type in a string of characters to test

end teset type+++

Reset Modem

Initiate Modem to Modem Test atz

Wait 5 seconds for error display
(if no errors it should display 000)

Reset Modem atz

Initiate loop back test at&t3
