Weekend Update Scripts
Once or twice a year I write a script for a skit called "Weekend Update". The
skits consist of two reporters attempting to give a "serious"
newscast while a guest analyst (decked out like a used car
salesman) sits and pops one-liners at the
end of every story. Simple, but effective :) So, here they
are: the scripts from the first nine installments of Weekend Update.
Humour Hour - A radio show with a somewhat dense studio audience (Valentines 2000)
My Point of ViewA Radio Talk Show where the host, in desperation, fakes the voices of his callers himself (Valentines 2000)
The Man Without - British accents, men dressed as women, not so bright characters - a sure winner! (Valentines 2001)
Voice Mail - A frustrated caller deals with a complex voice mail system (Valentines 2001)
Dummies Unlimited - an infomercial for a company that sells Ventriloquist Dummies
Charles Atlas - a short, advertisement style skit based on the old Charles Atlas bodybuilding course. Good as a filler between other performers. (and now, a word from our sponsor...)
