Weekend Update Scripts
Once or twice a year I write a script for a skit called "Weekend Update". The skits consist of two reporters attempting to give a "serious" newscast while a guest analyst (decked out like a used car salesman) sits and pops one-liners at the end of every story. Simple, but effective :) So, here they are: the scripts from the first nine installments of Weekend Update.

Skits Borrowed or Adapted from other famous sources

  • Labrador Retriever - Dave Barry's take on why relationships don't always work so well (Valentines 1998)
  • Flying by the Seat of My Tights - a sequel to Rowan Atkinson's stand up routine "Pink Tights and Plenty of Props" (Valentines 1998)
  • William Shakespeare & his Editor - taken from a Rowan Atkinson sketch
  • Elementary Courting for Men - A "university course", from Rowan Atkinson's standup routine (Camp 2002)
  • Monty Python's Argument Clinic
  • The Four Yorkshiremen - Some more Python
