Yesterday Erika called me and asked me if i wanted to go to the Yotsuya festival with her today and I said yes and i invited Cecilia. Cecilia said that she would be late, and i was planning to meet Erika there at about 11:00pm. I woke up exhausted, then cleaned, then did laundry, then I cleaned my room a bit, then it was all ready time to leave to head there. So I started walking to Sophia. I got there a little earlier than Erika. Once we started walking in the festival I was bombarded by ppl trying to get me to buy there food and i was go surprised at how it your face everybody was, and it was case I was almost completely encircled by these guys trying to get me to buy there okonomiyaki. So Erika and I walked up and down, and I was disappointed to see only food vendors. I mean I did figure out the names of some of the names of food that i like, but i was excepting there to be more. We meet up with Cecilia and Erika saw her friend so she was forced to buy a cotton candy from her :) While eating some of Erika's cotton candy I commented on how it takes me back :) So i was to get something to eat and I figured that I would buy the okonomiyaki since I have been dieing to try one and i haven't as of yet. So someone actually asked me nicely if I wanted to buy a okonomiyaki, so I did. I told Erika that I wanted to take cooking classes and she said that I shouldn't have to pay, rather come to her house and she would show me how to cook and give me a real Japanese dinner. So I finally got my okonomiyaki, hmmmm it was good and then we walked to the area where there was seating. I was wearing my hat and looking down at my food when Erika moved over to talk with her friend and when I looked up I saw that it was one of the girls from my dorm "Awww Jiru!!" She was nervous about dancing so we asked her where she was going to perform and they pointed in a general direction, so we looked everywhere. We were even in the top area of the gym. Cecilia then thought it was not going to be there so we went down to where we have akido, they were setting up stuff to sell.... ummm okay not here. Then we walked by the people dancing which was neat to watch, but we think they were praticing since a Japanese guy ended up giving us a slip saying they were performing at a different time. We left.... These guys stopped us and asked us to filled out this questionaire, and then we had a chance to pick out of the box, and none of us got a colored paper, so we just got candy. Then we started walking through the actual building and heard a band, saw some art displays. On the way I saw two more girls from my dormitory "awww Jiru!!" We walked around and bought a imagawayaki, hmmm good, and then decided to leave and get some real food. While we were walking they stopped us since some news people were walking through. Cecilia and I asked Erika if they were famous. She said that they weren't so Cecilia and I thought that was strange. So headed for ichigaya area and I told Erika that if I found a place that accepted visa it would be my treat :) So we sat down at this one restuarant and they had signs plastered on the outside that said VISA, so we assumed, they take visa okay, but before we ordered I asked and they said that they don't take it at lunch time..... really strange. We left thinking how strange it was and then we walked forever trying to find a place... nothing... so we walked back to the indian restuarant and then we tried to order set c and then share it and then the guy told us that we couldn't.... Cecilia and I were about to leave... I didn't trust the guy and he was trying to pull one over us. We did end up eating there but Cecilia and I both argeed that we won't eat there again. After eating Cecilia and I helped Erika with her homework, and I had to read it a few time until it made sense. After we figured it out there was this great sense of accomplishment. So we walked to Mitsubishi bank and then parted ways. I headed right to work. Cecilia went back home and Erika went somewhere. I sat on the train quietly and then got on the express to Hanno, which I had to get off at the second stop and then head back too. As I got off the train, Fujiwara JUN called me. I told him that I was at the station, and he said that he would be right there. I was trying to figure out if he had money according to Japanese standards. He had a really nice car, so that was the first thing I noticed. Then his apartment was really nice but I was not certain if he shared it or not. The proofreading went by quickly and we talked for a bit. I was talking about a few things culturally that seem different, or strange to me. Like if I said "okonomiyake" since yake means to get burnt, i would be burnt like a okonomiyaki is what i would be saying. He gave me some cookies and chocolate to munch on, and he ended up giving me the cookies, lucky me :) i don't get paid much, 1000yen an hour, but he also gives me train fare for the ride back, so it is not completely bad. it take about 40-50minutes to get home. Once home there was no food out, so oh well I was still kinda full from lunch. I took my laptop down and I took care of a few things and then saw Yasuko and we talked a bit, and then off to bed.
