9-29-02 Today I woke up and realized that we are actually free from cleaning on Sunday's, yeah!!! Anyway I checked my mailbox and I saw that their was a new letter. At first I thought it was from j-phone but then I realized, it is my bank card!!! Lucky me then I knew that I was certain that I could take out money permitting that the bank was open. Ann came downstairs and she said that she was going to study japanese until around 12 and then we could go to the bank. Naturally I waited online for my boy and he came online 20 minutes before I had to go. Since it always feels like I never get to talk to him I was happy to talk to him but alsa I had to go, Ann was anxious and we had to meet people at a certain time. The mitsubishi bank in Tokyo was open, horay, atleast you could take out money, horay! So our first stop was to meet Denise and Jenny at Shinjuku at the South exit. If only finding the south exit was so easy. After I saw a sign pointing up I deducted that we should walk straight for a while. While walking a girl gave me a coupon for MacDonald's and I could get a drink and an apple thing for 200yen, since i still put myself on a budget, i was very tempted. Then figuring out where to meet Denise was sooo difficult and she was picking and describing this exit that looked exactly the same on the other side. We found her though and then Jenny came shortly but I said that the yahoo.jo would have been a better landmark than the tokyo tower. Anyway, we were going to eat at a sushi place in Shinjuku before we would go to Ginza. I believe the place was called dai sushi or something. They advertised having sushi for 100yen. This place had the sushi on plates and they revolved around in front of you. Only the decorated places were 300yen but they were mostly shrimp and you got three. I loved the tamago one. I was surprised when it tasted sooo sweet. Next stop, Ginza. Once we got to Ginza we went to this one department store that had all of these bras as you walked in. One thing we noticed about all of the bra, on the bottom part of the bra it was padded. Not just a few, all of them. Next we went out into the big street. All of Ginza's streets were huge. Their was a ton of expensive clothing stores as well as sweet shops. Jenny was looking for Itoya, which is the largest store of office supplies in Japan. It is soo big that they have to make 3 separate stores. The one store was 9 stories tall. It was very cool and they had all kinds of cute stuff. Next stop was gawking at all of the goodies, and the stores that we dare not go near. Their was this large picture of a tiger and plently of big name clothing store. Before we ended our trip we went to this large toy store that was adorable. Stationary on the first floor, toys second, plushes on the third. It was sooo cute. They had the largest Totoro plush that I have ever seen. It was of course about 300 dollars. Then we walked back home from Yotsuya and went to the 99yen shop. I bought some juice and kiwi. Ann bought some food for the week. Well school starts tomorrow so i went to bed slightly early.
