Eastern methods of thinking are completely different than those of the west. American's ask "why" whereas the Japanese ask "what." Japanese uphold traditions and Japan itself has amazingly intagrated the old and new without compromising one or the other. American's usually stress working individually, and the Japanese tend to collaborate more and work in groups.
