10-31-02 Well anyway my day started out with getting a chance to talk to my boy. He was having a rough day and I felt terrible since there was nothing I could do to help him or make him feel better on this end. After talking to him I promised Cecilia that we would go to nova together to see if they had any part time jobs available. She told me that she was going to be a little bit so i decided to go walking down Kagurazaka dori. While there I figured that I would go check my bank account to see if the money transfer came through. it didn't then I figured that I should check my phone in case she e-mailed me. A few minutes ago she e-mailed me that she would be there in 10 minutes, crap. I had to rush there while writing an e-mail on my way to Nova. It was funny because on my way there were some sightseers and I thought to my self "foreigners." :P it was funny. Anyway Cecilia and i got met up and at Nova we went to the wrong floor at first and we saw a guy dressed up in a business suit teaching an older Japanese woman, once we realized that we were on the wrong floor we booked it out of there, opps :) At the first floor which we were blind to notice was where we were suppose to go, we asked and they handed us a booklet and told us in Japanese to call the number. So then cecilia and I had a lot of free time now. I told her that it would not be a great idea if I go out tonight since i owe her money from last night as well at the train fair she provided me, and I don't want to be more in debt. She understood and she questioned if she was going to go out herself. So we walked up near the mitsubishi bank and turned right and we walked around this park, and then we walked some more, then we found the shrine that I went to before and i showed her how I think you are suppose to cleanse yourself before you go into the temple and I showed her the garden part. We both commented on how we want a garden like this. I pointed out the unusually large fish and I commented on how each one could eat us. Then I discovered that it is even expensive to feed the fish 100yen.... so we just sat there and watched them. We both agreed that the skyscraper in the background kinda ruins the picture. Anyway we walked out of the shrine and we stopped at this side stand where they had udon and octopus, etc.. She both some mochi icecream thing and she said that she would treat me, but i opted for the grape drink. Since i knew where we were i took her to the gardens and she thought it was pretty, next we walked around the permimeter of the imperial palace, and i realized that the last time I was there they took us the long way there. So we also walked past the UK embassy. We took a detour to the bathroom and Cecilia pointed out a little urinal on the side. I guess it is for little Japanese boys, i dunno... Anyway we saw a sign that said Yotsuya and pointed straight, so we decided to follow. On the way we found this really cheap clothing store and we both bought shirts for 100yen. We kept walking and discovered that we were in Yotsuya and since we were both getting hungry I saw the sign for Yen shop, thinking it was a 100yen store we walked toward that direction. We made a detour at atre, and cecilia would not let me look in the Godiva store, grrrr. One of the stores had the most delicious looking bread, hmmm Cecilia had to drag me out of there. So we continued walking and we were a bit confused as to where this place was, and then i saw a sign and realized it was farther down Shinjuku dori. We went it, 4th floor, ummmm not a 100yen store. We went in and the girl said "irrashi..." since we turned the corner. She was confused as were we, and we felt kinda dumb, so we tried to discreetly leave.... Anyway we decided to stop at Johnathan's. I only order soup, cecilia ordered a Ceaser salad. The food they had there looked delicious. We figured out what the buzzers were for after we noticed them.... We finished our food and I left my bag at the table opps. Went back got it and then we went to the conbinii and i ended up getting Banana chips. Cecilia bought icecream balls. We decided to turn right and just keep walking and we saw Asakasa palace, and it was huge. We figured that it was not open to the public, so we did not even bother going over to figure it out. We kept walking and then we saw a sign that said Roppongi and pointed in the left direction. "Ahhh what the hell, why not." So ended up walking through Asakusa and then we turned right yet again and we knew that we were in roppongi once we saw the India restuarant that was advertised in Metropolis as having free naan. So we were looking outside at the menu and then one of the waiters came outside and was very forward. Then the India guy came out and said, "is everything okay." I hate it when ppl are too forward. So we kept walking straight and then we noticed that we were in Roppongi and we stopped at this entertainment place called Vortex. We got our pictures done, but because of the stupid time limit we ended up only getting one picture. So we left and then we found another cheap clothing store. They had these cute pants as well as this REALLY cute shirt for only 1000yen..... Then cecilia and saw a T.G.I.Friday's and then a 100yen store but we had to cross the street. This is when I noticed that my purse thing was gone. So we ran back to vortex and yeah it was in the print shop machine. What a relief. So this time we walked leisurely. We walked pretty far down and then we walked to Tokyo Tower. It was amazing; i was completely awe struck. I didn't have any words to describe it... I had seen it in pictures so many times, and i still was not expecting it to be anything like this. Since going inside was free Cecilia and I decided to walked around and looked at all of the souvenirs and commented on how strange it was that they were cheaper than most places. But they most of the souvenirs stands we not just selling tokyo tower souvenirs, but all kinds of souvenirs, traditional ones, j-pop, all kinds of food, shirts, bags, etc.... They even had an arcade it there. Cecilia and I were going to take our picture in the tokyo tower one but she was 100yen short, next time. We decided to head back and she said that she would walk me back since she did not want me to walk by myself. We stopped at another conbinii and I bought peanut bread, and Cecilia bought strawberry bread with chocolate bread. One of the way back she commented that I should stay for a year, since she was going to miss me and that no one would take these insanely long walks with her :) since we are going to be insane and walk to yokohama, hehehehehe Anyway on the way back we took the same route until we reached Aoyama then we turned right. As we were walking a security guard made us stop, and then we saw that they were taking a prisoner into the prison, and I thought that it was a thing this that he stopped us. Then we kept walking and we walked over the walked way and followed the signs towards Yotsuya we found it and Cecilia and I parted ways. I walked back to the dorm and ate dinner around 9pm, and went into my room. Then I went to bed, i had been walking for 9 hours.
