HEIGHT GOES A
LONG, LONG
WAY !!!

Height is an advan-
tage for any girl
competing in the in-
ternational arena.
A long, tall figure
shows off clothes
very well. The com-
bination of long limbs and legs that seem to go on for-
ever is the perfect
recipe in catching the eyes of both the judges and the aud-
ience! A giant step for womanhood!

FOOTS HER WAY TO VICTORY

Evening
Gown
Parade

Prior to the pageant finals, the contestants were featured in an evening gown video clip while singing to the tune of 'Woman of the World.' Cara is partially visible behind Miss South Africa. She is typically Miss Philip- pines in her attire! Hair in a tight chignon, gown is form fitting and flaunts her svelte figure
to fullest advantage!

Evening Gown
Competition

NOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!  Cara,
dear Cara, what happened????

What on earth happened to your gown du- ring the Pre-Pageant Final's Evening Gown
Parade? Why did  you decide  to change? You already got it right the first time!

THE BLUE LAGOON FASHION
NIGHTMARE

The evening gown that brought Cara down!
The  dress that  made Miss  Philippines the fashion victim of the evening. The top is ok,
but the skirt is a tad too short as if left in the dryer  toooooo long, and  resembles more a piece of cinema  drapery up for auction!
Cara is a gorgeous girl, alas, the gown de- serves nothing more than a 7.20!

RUMOR HAS IT. .

...that Cara Subijano's gown worn ear-
lier  during the Pre-Pageant Evening Gown Parade was stolen! Since there was little or no time left to get a replace-
ment, she  had to borrow from one of the contestants! If this is true, then who
else would walk away with a delegate's evening gown but another jealous con-
testant? True or false? Or perhaps she just really made an error in judgement and thought that the 'blue number' was better than the first! Who knows? The
truth is still out there somewhere. . .

Malicious Circumstances?

Cara Speaks!

"Good evening, ladies and gentle-
men. It's an honor to be here right now. If I am fortunate enough to
wear the crown of Miss World, I would like to thank everyone who has helped me because this oppor-
tunity will definitely develop my personality and open doors for me in my chosen career field of broad- casting. But most importantly, I would like to make a strong com-
mitment to do my very best and
sincere effort to the task of . . .

..'Beauty With A Purpose,' be-
cause now, I'm not just an am-
bassador of my countrymen the
Filipinos, but of the people, espe-
cially the underpriveleged child-
ren of the world."

                         -Cara Subijano

So much going for this girl. She's
gorgeous,  tall,  well bred, articu-
late,  looks stunning in swimsuit, and  earlier chose the right eve-
ning gown! It's such a shame to
see  Cara go down just because
of her blue gown! Never the less,
good  for her  to even  reach the semi-finals. Too  bad she was axed right after. I wonder how things could have been had she not heeded Madonna's advice to wear 'True Blue.'
