1963 Saw Monina Yllana again landing as a semi-finalist in the Miss International Pageant and Lalaine Bennett as 3rd Runner-up in the Miss Universe Pageant.

but moreso for her wit and ability to answer questions without sounding like a rehearsed queen!

IS WHAT GLORIA HAS TO SAY...
"AMERICA CONQUERED THE MOON, BUT THE PHILIPPINES CONQUERED THE UNIVERSE!"
Gloria without batting an eyelash replied, "Well, since he has been
in the moon so long, I would do for him the same thing I would do for anybody, ask him if he wants a change." Ha, ha !!! Clever girl! While the other contestants were caught unaware, she was ready for it. Glorious Gloria conquered the universe! AMEN.
