Lyatwars

Review
Any one who was a fan of Star Fox on the Super Nintendo will absolutely love playing Lyat Wars. It is yet another remake of a classic Nintendo game for the Nintendo 64, and is definitely an improvement on the old Star Fox game.
It is basically a flying shootem up, where you fly along destroying all the enemies sent at you.

In it you play the son of Fox Mc
Cloud (hero of the last version of Star Fox). You are again battling to save Cortinia from the
evil scientist Andross who some how survived, being literally blown to pieces in the last game.
(How do those mad scientists do it, every time you think they are dead they come back to haunt you again)
The game again takes the path of moving you from planet to planet liberating
them form Andros and his minions along the way. The main difference through is
that this time around you can't just pick which route you would like to take.
It is decided for you depending on how you complete the level, or which way you go in the level.
In addition to all this the graphics are well done. You can pull of some rather amazing maneuvers in the new ships, and the new weapons are quite good as well.

One of the levels in the game includes a giant flying saucer around which loads and loads of
enemies ships are circling as it prepares to fire a destructive ray on a defenseless
alien town. (Does this sound familiar - Independence day)
Of course you get the job of stopping this evil mother ship but I wouldn't recommend trying
the same approach they tried in the film, your likely to blow your ship into about
20,000 pieces if you do.
The multiplayer is probably the biggest let down in the whole game, I wouldn't recommend
playing with less than three players as you might spend all night searching for each
other.

Their is only one decent multiplayer level of the two or three that are offered to you and even this one is way to big. As if this weren't bad enough the music is annoying and monotonous.
So
overall its a good single player game, but hopeless when it comes to multiplayer
games.
