Review
The Dreamcast is one of the newer consoles on the market, created by Sega.

It is a great console with some brilliant new games and near film quality graphics for many of its games.
Sega has been in the market for computer games as long as Nintendo. Though it is only now that they have started to bring out a decent variety of games for the average gamer.
When people used to talk about Sega console games, what most people thought of was boring sports games. Now with their new console they have changed all that by bringing out adventure, action, RPG and puzzle games.
One of the main features of the new console is its ability to connect to the internet. You can surf the web and actually play some of the DC games in online games (though this side of it is still to properly take of in the UK). No other console as yet offers this option.

There are also some emulators now on the market for the Dreamcast, these are CD's which allow you to play Playstation games on your Dreamcast. So if your looking for the best of both worlds without having to shell out for a new PS why not give them a try.
The only way that the Dreamcast really lets you down is its badly designed joypad. Don't get me wrong it isn't faulty or anything like that, its just that the layout is very annoying for playing most games.

Who ever heard of a connection wire that comes out of the bottom of the controller rather than the top? Or left and right trigger keys that are not easily accessed by either hand.
On top of which the lack of buttons for in game control is clearly shown next to the Playstation and N64. The Dreamcast has a total of nine buttons for control, the N64 twelve buttons and the Playstation has eleven buttons.
It may not seem like much but more buttons means more control.
So overall the console is very good and worth playing, as are many of the games available for it.
