Review
Dead or Alive 2 is a fighting game for 1 or 2 players. It is different from most fighting games in that it makes a greater use of counter attacks than most other fighting games out at the moment.

In fact the entire game is based around being able to counter your opponents attack, you have one punch button, one kick button, a counter button and a throw button. You can learn to do combination moves for each character though there aren't actually any listed combos when you get the game.

Many of the fighting games out there offer some kind of counter attack for the game, that is either too hard to pull off or doesn't really do any damage to the opponent.

With Dead or Alive 2 you can learn and pull of the counters very easily and unlike many annoying fighting games you can actually block attacks with the direction buttons rather than some stupid block button that you always press a second to late.
Overall this is a great game where you have to anticipate your opponents next move and create your own style of fighting to win. Very often you have to adapt to what your friend is doing, this makes the game different each time it is played and makes for great replay ability.
