Goldeneye
Review
Goldeneye is a great James Bond game for the N64,
it is based upon the Goldeneye film that was in the cinemas not that long ago.
In it you play James Bond out to save the world from the usual terrorists and gangsters. The game follows
the film quite closely and you will even recognize many of the scenes portrayed in the film.
It must be said that if you are looking mainly for a shootem-up game then this is
it. There is a large array of weapons made available for your use, such as tanks, mines,
sniper riffles, AK47's etc.
One of the fun features of this game is that you can activate cheats and secret levels by completing levels
on certain difficulty levels or within a time limits.
However Goldeneye is best played in multiplayer mode (1 to 4 players) where you can pick from a variety of
classic levels, for you and your friends to play on. In addition to this you can even pick the type of
weapons and health each character will have making for an interesting and challenging match.
The only
shooter that is better than this on the N64 is Perfect Dark, which is the follow
