SECTION7.13 The Executive shall transact any business relevant to the aims and objectives of the Association.
SECTION 7.14 The Executive shall appoint a committee or a commission when necessary, to deal with matters of concern. SECTION 7.15 The Executive shall be the next highest decision making body after the GM. SECTION 7.16 The Executive shall be accountable to the Association. SECTION 7.17 The President shall be the Head of the Executive. SECTION 7.18 The Executive shall meet periodically to draw up programmes which shall seek to achieve the aims and objectives of the Association. SECTION7.19 The term of office of the Executive shall be Twenty-four (24) calendar months. SECTION 7.20 Within a period of ten (10) years the President can be elected into office twice. ARTICLE 8: JUDICIAL COMMITTEE SECTION 8.10 There shall exist within the Association a Judicial Committee hereinafter referred to as the JC, comprising of a Chairman who shall be the Head and four (4) other members. SECTION 8.11 The Chairman of the judicial committee shall nominate the other members of the committee for approval of the General Assembly. SECTION 8.12 The Chairman of the committee shall be elected by the General Assembly. SECTION 8.13 The committee shall have sovereign power over all constitutional and election petitions lodge with the electoral commission. SECTION 8.14 The committee shall have the power to invite any member or members of the Association to appear before it. SECTION 8.15 All impeachment proceedings against any elected officer shall be brought before it. SECTION 8.16 The committee shall be independent and shall not be subjected to the control and direction of any authority, person or groups except the provision of the constitution and they shall be accountable to the members of the Association. SECTION 8.17 The committee shall have the power to interpret and enforce the provisions of the constitution. SECTION 8.18 The committee shall have the power to sanction or prescribe any appropriate punishment such as warning, suspension, expulsion, and fining having regard to the provisions of the constitution provided the punishment can be enforced. |
