| SECTION 17.11
A. Any elected officer shall communicate his resignation to the Executive in writing, seven (7) days before the date of resignation. B. In the event that any elected Executive officer resigning, the Executive shall make known to the General Assembly and appoint a suitable member of the Executive to act in the office vacated thereof until fresh elections are held. C. In the event of the resignation of the entire Executive, the JC shall notify the General Assembly and shall assume temporal responsibility until fresh elections are held. D. In the event that a member or members of the EC or JC resign(s), the Executive shall notify the General Assembly and appoint a suitable member other than an Executive member. EXPULSION SECTION 17.12 A. Any member may notice in writings addressed to the JC to start impeachment proceedings against any elected officer provided that such a notice is endorsed by at least four (4) members of the Association. B. The JC shall publish a report, which shall be submitted to the General Assembly at the next GM for debate during which the officer in question shall have the right o state his case. C. A simple majority at a GM covered for such a purpose shall officially remove any elected officer against who impeachment charges have been preferred from office. D. Any elected officer shall automatically be removed from office if a Vote Of no Confidence is passed in him by the General Assembly of if adverse findings are made against him by the JC E. An elected officer shall be removed from office for inefficient or negligent discharge of his duty or acting in a manner prejudicial to the interest of the member of the Association. F. Any member affected by the provision of SECTION 17.12.E shall have the right to appeal to the JC within four (4) days of effect of the sanction. ARTICLE 18: INTERPRETATION SECTION 18.10 Any reference to a male pronoun in this constitution shall be deemed to include the female. SECTION 18.11 A. The power of interpretation of this constitution shall be vested in the Judicial Committee. B. Where any controversy arises as the interpretation of this Constitution of the majority at a meeting called for that purpose and in the best interest of the Association be deemed as final. |
