WE'RE STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION!
YOU'RE WELCOME TO VISIT AND LOOK AROUND.
(WE'VE SURE SAID THAT BEFORE!!!!)

Each of the pages link to the next location after you have entered Tiarabella's Yesterdays. You can return to this page and to our Home Page from each of the rooms also. I hope that this makes it easier for you visit!

If a page comes up and doesn't have a picture, please do refresh or reload, as all images are in the pages. If a window appears asking if you want to continue 'script' say 'yes'. This is a programming error and I am working on it with the web site provider.

History

Tiarabella's Yesterdays
All records we have found said that Tiarabella was built in 1908. The title, however, says 1901. If the title is correct, then Tiarabella should celebrate her 100th birthday this year!

George's Renovations
The first time George saw this home he drove past with his real estate agent and she didn't want to show it to him because it was too much of a fixer. He insisted and was able to see it that afternoon ... the rest is history!

Grounds, Porch and Carriage House

The Gardens
Landscaping was limited to grass lawns, overgrown and unmanageable bushes around the house, and trees along the parking strips. It's much different now! Come visit and enjoy!

The Front Porch
Come and visit our favorite place! I'll bring the lemonaid and cookies!

West Side Entrances
You can just visualize the family stepping out to their horse and carriage to take them on an outing!

The Carriage House
When this structure was built, it housed the family's horse and carriage. Carriages back then were converted to sleighs for use in the winter.

First Floor

The Foyer
Welcome! In days of old you would have been greeted by the maid. Today its usually George or myself there to greet you along with our four Yorkies!

The First Floor Central Hallway
As you enter the first thing you see is the stairway ahead of you and the rich Honduras mahogany. All guests are asked to please sign our Guestbook located on a table here. Please go back to our home page and sign our guest book and say hello before you leave. Thanks!

The Parlor
This room was called the Parlor or the Music Room!

The Living Room
Ladies, come sit by the fireside and lets work on our needlepoint!

The Clock Room
To maintain sanity we only keep one clock wound! See how this room was converted from a sitting porch to my favorite reading room!

The Dining Room
Let's have a sit down dinner! Rack of lamb, sugar snaps from the garden, baked potatoes with butter and fresh chives ....

Chef George's Domain - The Kitchen
This is where George (our family gourmet cook) does his magic!

Downstairs Powder Room
Unless you want to go all the way upstairs or down in the basement, you're welcome to powder your nose amidst our mini greenhouse - a feature loved by guests!

Gentlemen's Smoking Room
As us ladies gossip in the living room, the gentlemen can retire for an after dinner cigar by the fireplace.

The Family Room
This is the main gathering room of the house! Put your feet up on the coffee table, watch television or view the joggers running by ... or all three at once!

Let's Go Upstairs!
You'll be greeted by Venus and you'll enjoy seeing Penni's Victorian dollhouse on the way!

Second Floor

Upstairs Central Hallway and Attic Stairs
This central hallway invites you to visit the rooms on the second level. You'll find some great decorating and antiques.

Office/Bedroom
Penni uses this room for her office where she works on her genealogy and volunteers on a research site.

The Guest Room
Overlooking the balcony, this large bedroom is used as our guest room - you can just imagine breakfast in bed - don't get too cozy, we get you up early for a jog around the park!

The Master Bedroom
A fireplace, a sweet chandelier, and overlooking the park, this large bedroom boasts access to the balcony and the must see master bath.

The Den
Originally the lady of the house's dressing room, it is now George's office.

The Second Floor Balcony
Once the children were all nestled into bed, the Mr. and Mrs. of the house could sit out on the balcony in the evenings for some private time and watch the happenings below.

The Master Bathroom
You will be amazed at the transformation of this room! After a wonderful bath or shower, just put on a thick terry robe and wrap yourself in luxury!

The Guest Bathroom
This was the only bathroom in the house originally. We always invite guests to use the Master Bathroom and so only when the other is in use does this one get used.

The Maid's Bedroom
Used as a second guest room, this was originally the maid's bedroom with private entrance.

Attic & Widow's Walk

The Attic
Homes built in this period were finished off into ballrooms where guests would dance the night away.

The Widow's Walk
In homes along the ocean, wives would go to the roof of their homes to watch for their husband's returning from sea. Unfortunately, often the husbands never returned from the sea, thus, these rooftop lookouts were called widow's walks.

Basement

The Basement
The full basement is the size of the first floor except for the two additions. It's very easy to get lost down there!
