The Honduran mahogany is carried throughout the room to the fireplace mantle and frame. It has been refaced with green Vermont marble to add more beauty and charm to this room. There were no ceiling or wall light fixtures. George had the four wall sconces (two over the fireplace and two on the opposite walls) installed on dimmer switches to adjust the lights throughout the room. As you look up at the ceiling, you will see the detailed fresco.

An antique religious oil painting accents the room over the fireplace. The dcor centers on the fireplace, inviting cozy gatherings typical of the Edwardian period.

This room had seven layers of wallpaper and paint that was removed. The walls were replastered and then wallpapered.
The floors in this room have all been restored. George removed the wall to wall carpeting to find them horribly stained and abused. There was no alternative but to completely strip, sand and refinish the floors throughout the first level.

Tiarabella's Clock Room
See how this room converted from a sitting porch to my favorite reading room!
To keep our sanity, only one clock is kept wound.
