Here it is!  The Oz Top 25 Countdown for the week ending March 2, 2002.

Well as the second official week of the Top 25 is in action, there really isn't much action on the charts this week.  There are four debuts and one reentry this week, so let's start with them.

Nelly Furtado's last appearance was last summer, when
Turn Off The Lights hit the top 10.  The third single from her debut, Woah Nelly!, comes in this week at number one.  No suprise, as I have had new number ones for the past six weeks!  Hopefully one of these weeks a song will be able to stay at number one for more than one week.  Anyway, back to Nelly.  I saw her on the Grammies this week and loved her solo performance of I'm Like A Bird.  If I could only say I like the Grammies as a whole!  I hate having suprises ruined by giving the award to the act that just performed!  Anyway, I really love this song, but it took some getting used to.  Hopefully it will still be number one next week!

Coming in right behind is Dido.  She last appeared on my charts this past summer as well, when
Hunter took the top spot.  Unfortunately, it doesn't look as if she can follow it up.  But, this song is currently number one on the US dance charts.  Great song, with some pretty boring remixes!  What actually suprising about this song is that it has been available on her No Angel album since I was in High School! (May of 1999 is when the album was released)

Moving down to the lower reaches of the charts, you will find the rest of the debuts this week.  Sparred by her GREAT performance at the Grammies, Mary J. Blige reenters this week at number 18 with
No More Drama.  At 19 is Where's Your Head At? by Basement Jaxx.  This is the second single from their album Rooty.  At number 21 is Shakira.  Unfortunately, Whenever, Wherever, couldn't last on the charts, but her follow up, Underneath The Clothes, comes right in the take her place.

This weeks biggest mover is by "Posh Spice" (sorry, had to say that!).
A Mind Of It's Own rockets up 13 spots this week to land at number 8.  It's a pretty decent pop song, but her talking too a little bit to get used to!  This week's biggest faller award goes to "Ms. Crossroads".  Her movie is falling just as fast as her songs.  I haven't seen Britney's movie, but the critics hate it!  I honestly DO wanna see it though ... just to see it!  LOL

Well that's all for this week.  Check back next week to see who's number one and who fal
ls off!

Until then ...
