Can't Fight The Moonlight
LeAnn Rimes
Here it is!  The Oz Top 20 Countdown for the week ending January 5, 2002.  Happy New Year!

Since I don't have much time I will keep this very short for the week.  Iio manages a 4th week at number one, fending off Michael Jackson for a third week.  I'm not sure at this point who will be number one next week.  With Cher's
(This Is) A Song For The Lonely being eligible for chart entry next week, it might be the end of Iio's reign atop the chart.

This week highest new entry is actually a re-entry.  Jewel makes a strong resurgance this week, climbing back up to number 6 with
Standing Still from her latest album, This Way.  Earning Highest Debuts honors this week, however, is the new Shakira song, Whenever, Wherever from her album Laundry Service, her first english language album.  The other debuts this week are I Want Love by Elton John and Flawless by The Ones.

Daft Punk makes a huge rebound this week, going from 18 to 5.  I guess sometimes songs just slip through the crack until I realize how much I like them, as is the case with
Digital Love.  Radio OVERexposure has caused Nickelback to plummet 9 notches to number 14 this week with How You Remind Me.  This song will soon move from one of my favorites to one of my least favorites due to the fact that I hear it 20 damn times a day!  When I go back to college next week and loose the radio airplay exposure of some of these songs, overexposure will become a thing of the past.

Well, that's all for this week.  Look for who makes it on the chart and who makes it to number one ne
xt week.  Until then...
