Ah Fei decides to pawn his priceless swords. He, Chang and Feng reminisce about their
bereft pasts when they were members of the greatest martial arts clans in all of China.

After they run out of money, Ah Fei decides to buy back his swords and repawn them
- in hopes to get more money. This decision starts the chain of events that bring together
the poor Ruffians and the wealthy Kwan.

Yang's Challenge
Unlike the others who are eager to accept Yeun's invitation, Yang will only come if Yeun
can counter 3 blows from his deadly pole.

Food Fight
Ah Fei sneaks Yeun's food to the old temple where Yang and Kwan battle in hand to hand combat. Kwan,
too, is hungry. Yang convinces the rest to pawn Ah Fei's swords (once again) so that their newfound
friend can also be well fed when practicing Kung Fu. This explains why later Kwan return the favor when
he says "Did the same as you... Pawn something!"

The 4 Ruffians help Kwan confront the reality that escort businesses - and the martial artists
who worked for them - are no longer needed. This explains why Kwan sadly mentions to Yang not to hold back
for their last battle together.

Kwan's Eulogy
Ah Fei, Chang and Feng return Kwan's body to his grieving sister and mother. They are blamed for killing Kwan.
The two women vow that Yeun won't be given the opportunity to kill them too. This supports the idea that the two
committed suicide out of anger, sadness and confusion - shortly before Ah Fei finds them after the ambush.
