Intro:
Sonic Mega Collection is a collection of all the Sonic games that appeared on the Mega Drive (sans Sonic Eraser) for the Nintendo GameCube. It also has a few extras, such as videos and comic covers.

The Game:
Sonic Mega Collection is a compilation of the following games:

Flicky pre-dates Sonic the Hedgehog by a few years, but was included due to Flickies being one of the hapless animals trapped in Eggman's badniks. Sonic 3D Flickies' Island is a remake of sorts, using the same bird saving game design.

Ristar the Shooting Star, or Ristar as it was known in the West, was probably included due to the game coming from an old prototype game idea for Sonic involving a rabbit. Early screens of Ristar showed the character looking more like a rabbit than a star, going under the slightly more disturbing name of Feel. Character designer Yuji Uekawa also works on many Sonic designs.
