Aaweura, the world where we live in was created and inhabited long time ago by ancient demi-gods called the Guardians, or Dragon Lords. It is widely believed that the first Guardian created all the races that inhabit it now. The holy book of the Belian Church, Ger Staefe Herigean, explains this in details.
When Guardians left this world, the minor races were left on their own, and the first written documents are from the period when the Great Elven Empire ruled supreme.
After the empire the civilisation degenerated considerably, and most of the historical events were passed along the generations as oral heritage.
By the time of the City States man had climbed again the steps of civilisation to point where written knowledge such as The Chronicle, was passed further. It was mostly produced by the Priests of Bel, who later, in the Kingdom of Brimlan, were to take care of the census and some of the administration.
