- Hangman routines have been improved.
- There can be several hangmans around the realm, all
of them using the same set of lines tho
- In addition to fixed set of lines (OLC), the hangman
randomly picks lines from room names, object names
as well as mob names. So sometimes there might be
obscure(?) lines, but generally this should make the game
not so boring for those who play it too much (hey Seven;)
- Mission code upgraded (messenger & riddle).
- VT100 based note editor has been enhanced (cursor works better now).
Also code is cleaned up and some new control codes have been added
(e.g. page up/down)
- Mobs have a base savings against all elements and also their the base
saves vs. spells is slightly lowered. This means that:
- Element based attack spells are less efficient against the mobs
while the other spells should be more efficient
- Racial resistance/vulnerability has been added and can be seen with
RACE command. Some races will be probably adjusted later respective
to this. Thanks go to Malagor and Dastard. Also the respective help
pages (RACE,RACECMD etc) have been updated and created if necessary.
- Several other help pages updated and added (e.g. HELP AREA_SIZE)
- Imms:
- As someone have noticed, some mechanisms in mud assumed regular
reboots and used "reset_progs" to set up rare quests. As we do
not reboot the place anymore so often a new mechanism is needed.. hence
After a reboot reset_progs can be set up to be run once a mud month
or once a mud year by providing optional 'montly' or 'yearly'
argument, respectively. See HELP CALENDAR for how long the times
are in real life.
