In AAW, every character has a Primary and Secondary class. From the secondary class player gets skills up to level 30, from the primary everything. The following classes are available:
The most popular combinations have been like Mage-Warrior, Cleric-Warrior, Warrior-Mage, Warrior-Psionicist, Monk-Cle etc. So either of classes is usually a fighter class and the other spellcasting. Other combinations are possible, too, some of which extremely strong choices! To see a full list of the skills each class has, please see the skills page.
On top of the two classes, one can also have an extra attribute, this you are able to have after character creation and having spent some time in game. Some of these extra skills can be tought by a master (more experienced player), some you get in other ways (such as being bitten by a vampire makes you one too). The currently implemented extras are: Vampire, Werewolf, Dragon, Ninja and Smith. The MAGE class is a 'spellcasting' class devoted primarily toward control over the
elements. Mages also learn the secrets of powerful rune magic, where they summon
the powers of universe using drawn runes as their tool. The rune is build up by a sequence
of siglas, magical symbols. One sigla itself contains only little bit of power, but
combinations of correct siglas amounts to very powerful magic!
The universe contains an unmeasured power the MAGE taps into to influence the world. MAGE
spells are devoted to the invoking, hermetic, and combative nature. MAGEs fare a little
better than their CLERIC counterparts in hand-to-hand combat though they much prefer to
stand back and roast their enemies with a FIREBALL.

DRUIDs are denizens of the forest. They wield powerful nature magics that are taught them by their elders. They can be powerful allies, and can heal a friend in need with GAEAS TOUCH. But they also make horrible enemies and are often known to unleash the mighty artic winds upon their enemies with ARCTIC BLAST spell. DRUIDs have a tendancy to stay away from melee combat as they depend mainly on the protection given to them by their magics. They cannot wear anything on their body so they must rely upon armors created by magic.
Note: The class is still being worked on.

The CLERIC class is a 'spellcasting' class devoted primarily toward defense. A deity
gives the CLERIC spells in the curing, warding, and protection divinities. CLERICs being
of a defensive nature fare poorly in the art of mortal combat. They much prefer to be
civil servants to society or doctors to their comrades in arms.
Like MAGEs they also learn the secrets of rune magic and you can easily recognize a
skillful CLERIC by looking at his/her arm which will be full of tattoos. Cleric rune magic
summons the elements differently, however, by singing them. The effect is the same, but
this technique requires the caster to be able to talk and sign.

The Assassin is one of the most dangerous class that ever exist. Their BACKSTAB with
their combination of dark magic has made them a formidable foe. The Assassin could steal
and open doors through the art learn from the thieves. They are very agile, and attack
effeciently, though they lack the skills of defense.
Through years of meditation and tough training, assassin at their later years could learn
to cast powerful spells to enhance them to fight better and more deadly. They are also
able to attack multiple times through the learning of SECOND ATTACK, THIRD ATTACK, and
FOURTH ATTACK.
Also many other devilish skills such as TRACK, EVESDROPPING, ENHANCED BACKSTAB, and CLOAK
FACE, are familiar to them.

The WARRIOR class is the most basic fighting class available. Their battle training
along with high strength and high hit points make them very formidable in hand to hand
combat. WARRIORs train in the art of multiple attacks. Some master the art of a SECOND
ATTACK and if experienced enough, can learn up to SEVENTH ATTACK.
Along with this training in multiple attacks, a WARRIOR is trained in making each hit
count. ENHANCED DAMAGE is available to only the learned. Toward the defense side of the
WARRIOR, skills of PARRY, RESCUE and BASH DOOR allow the WARRIOR to ward off attacks, rush
to the aid of fellow comrades, and open doors rather barbarically. Warriors can also learn
demanding talent of ARCHERY.

The PSIONICIST class is a 'spellcasting' class similar to Mages and Clerics, but with
several important differences. Where a Mage's power comes from harnessing external
energies present in all matter, and a Cleric's comes from his or her deity, the Psionicist
derives all of his or her power from within. The Psionicist harnesses, shapes, and
utilizes the natural forces which infuse his or her own being. As a result, many of the
devotions that a Psionicist can practice are strictly personal in effect, and cannot be
used on other players.
Learned psionicists can obtain outstanding armoury against any known attack, and such
spells as BIOFEEDBACK, PSYCHIC DRAIN, DEATH FIELD and DISINTEGRATE they make their enemy
think twice..

The PALADIN class is a fighting class, they are well trained in all kind of weapon.
Through years of training, they are as forminable in the art of fighting as a warrior,
though they still lack the constitution that great warriors have.
They dedicate themselves to the god of Good, which grant them the power to cast healing,
and blessing spells to aid them in their cause fighting the evils. Paladin like a warrior
are trained in the art of multiple attacks, some of them master up to THIRD ATTACK, and
they are able to do ENHANCED DAMAGE, though normally this is through years of training.

The Dark Knight is the bitter foe of the Paladin. They serve the evil god, and in
return for their loyalty these knights are granted magical powers to cast spells. They are
formiable in combat, with their skills of dark magic, they are one of the most powerful
class on the realm. Dark Knights are also well known from their skills with all kind of
diseases.
Dark Knights learn multiple attacks up to FIFTH ATTACK, and their spells such as HELLFIRE,

The monk class is a pure fighter class. Instead of using weapons monks prefer using
their bare hands. Monks learn a lot of skills and spells from their religion. Because they
rarely use any weapon, their fighting style is much different from others, such as
BUDDHA'S PALM, LAUGHING BUDDHA and so on, where dexterity plays major role.
More demanding and high level monk skills are NO SHADOW KICK, TAI CHI, and SHOVEL KICK,
that does not need further explanations!

The Necromancers are Priests that have broken away from their Holy orders to study and
Master the Secrets of Death. Their chosen path Keeps them mostly secluded to studies and
Crypts, and always surrounded by Bones and corpses. This has caused the Necromancers to be
seen as a more evil group, casting hell fires bestowing curses, and raising the dead to
serve their own bidding, and the Bottling of souls for diabolical plans and purposes.
Necromancers have such spells as ANIMATE DEAD, VAMPIRIC REGENERATION, CURSE, BAELFIRE.
A necromancer is a frightening adventurer who believes only in himself and the pact with
dark forces.
