CHAPTER 4- AFFILIATION OF CLUBS

CHAPTER 4 AFFILIATION OF CLUBS

4.01 A group of at least four ordinary members may apply to the Council for affiliation as a Club.

4.02 Every such application shall be on the application form (Prescribed Form No. 3) duly completed and signed by two members on behalf of the Club and accompanied by the following:

(a) the prescribed application fee;
(b) a copy of the Club's constitution (if any);
(c) a list of the names of its members with the signatures beside the names;
(d) evidence that the members are members of the JCF in good standing or their membership fees;
(e) Affiliation fee for 1 year.
(f) Name, address and telephone number of ?
(1) the Captain;
(2) the President; and
(3) the member who is authorized to act, sign documents and/or accept any notice or document on behalf of the Club.

4.03 For every additional / new member, the Club shall send to the Council the name of the additional / new member, an acknowledgment of membership signed by him / her and the prescribed fee for additional / new member (and his / her JCF membership, if the person is a non?member).

4.04 (a) The affiliation of a Club may be renewed by the payment of the appropriate affiliation fee to the Council any time before the affiliation has lapsed.

(b) After the lapse of affiliation for non?payment of affiliation fee, affiliation may be renewed by the payment of the affiliation fee and the prescribed Renewal Fee to the Council provided that this is done before the end of the third month from the month in which the affiliation had lapsed. After the 3 month period a fresh application for affiliation shall be made.

4.05 The Council shall within 1 month of the receipt of the relevant documents and/or the appropriate fees EITHER issue to the Club an Affiliation Certificate (Prescribed Form No. 4) or renewal thereof OR return the amounts received for affiliation fee with a written notification of refusal of affiliation or renewal thereof.

4.06 An affiliated Club shall have the right to participate in Club / Team events of the JCF, subject to the specific ruling of the Council and the rules of the JCF as to membership, entry fees or otherwise.
