BYE- LAWS AND REGULATIONS Previous Chapter - Next Chapter CHAPTER 2 MEMBERSHIP 2.01 All ordinary members shall be classified as either Student or Non-student members for the purpose of determining fees. 2.02 All applicants for ordinary membership shall submit to the Council the following: (a) A membership application form (Prescribed Form No. 1) duly completed and signed by the Applicant. (b) The prescribed application fee; (c) The Membership fee for a period of at least 1 year. 2.03 A group application of not less than 4 persons may be made by an affiliated club on behalf of its members, in which event the Application shall be accompanied by the prescribed fee per ordinary member in the group. 2.04 (a) Ordinary Membership may be renewed at any time before it has lapsed by payment of the appropriate membership fee to the Council. (b) After ordinary membership has lapsed for non?payment of membership fee, it may be renewed by payment of the membership fee and the prescribed Renewal Fee to the Council, provided that this is done before the end of the third month after the month in which it had lapsed. After the period of 3 months lapse, a fresh application for membership shall be made. 2.05 The Council shall within 1 month of the date of receipt of the application for ordinary membership or of fee for renewal of Membership EITHER issue to the applicant a Membership Card (Prescribed Form No. 2) OR return the amount received as membership fee with a notification of its non-approval of membership. 2.06 The Council at its discretion shall accept such persons as associate members who have (a) applied in writing to become associate members, or (b) who have played in JCF rated tournaments or (c) who have ceased to be ordinary members. Associate
membership shall carry no rights or obligations on either the part of
the associate member or the JCF.
