hello  nelda and everyone ----
i've been having some experiences i wished i didn't for the past months that i could not face responding to all the wonderful  news everyone has about their work and travels and mini reunions and all that i wish i could do too. at least i am happy i was able to suggest a  place for our  reunion.
we stayed at hotel tepeyac when my sister came home for a spell with my mom. it is a  nice place --- not to big and yet we are in the midst of pine trees and be in place that feels familiar . It still looks like Baguio is not that crowded from there. Most hotels dont have  gardens or picnic grounds .
anyway, i was able to see vivs when i  went up last week. it is good to see a pretty friend and she took time out to talk to me awhile. i visited her in brent school.
so of course even if i have to save up for the december reunion you can already count me in. i wouldn't miss it . i will try to bring my four girls with me if they do not have any other plans. and or they may just make it their time to visit cousins and other relatives in baguio . o di ba masaya lahat?????
because my girls are grown up i have time to work for pay now  (again). i have been a full time mom since i came down to dau. it has also made me realize how much and how long i have been out of the work force. i just recently learned how to use new computers. and i feel old !!  I have to take up refresher courses in accounting and maybe more computer courses. i wonder how many of us who have become mothers feel the same ???? like i am an ancient to a present working world of computers and new generation inventions…
i 'd like to say at least i am proud of my children . two already have jobs and  my third    is a full scholar in college. my youngest is in better health now than when she was her in younger years. ( can you believe she had a permanent room at a local hospital for at least ten days every year for five years???) .
i am so glad i have been able to do this again....
i am okay now........ hope to see everyone soon................DINAH

Where’s everybody? Busy, busy, busy?
We finally got back from our US trip last week, but then I had to act on my 20-day backlog first before I can start postin’ here again. Whew, that sure was back-breaking playing catch-up, coming at the heels of our hectic whirlwind tour of Vegas and California and the jetlag. Anyway, I hear Arnold S. has since gotten himself elected as “gover-nator” of the golden state, taking over from that Davis guy who got recalled by the people. I remember one of Szhwarzenegger’s posters that proclaimed “Let’s terminate Democrats!” I guess they succeeded.
I understand the Manila meeting didn’t push through after I left. Any developments about our reservation for Tepeyac? Please post, call, email or text me about what we need to get done for our December affair. It’s just around the corner, guys, let’s better get a move on!
Dinah, that was a moving post you just made. Don’t feel so bad, you’ve not really been left behind. You just had to pay attention to some other things that were more important and now you’re picking up from where you left off. It’s good to know how well your kids are doing now, our congratulations to you for being such a great mom!
Maane and I had a phone conversation toward the end of our visit. She was on her off day and doing some cleaning up in their house. I would have preferred meeting with her face-to-face with her family; as it were we had to content ourselves to saying the usual things over the line, discussing life in America and the condition of some of our classmates who’ve settled there. She gave me Josie’s number but somehow I never got around to calling her. She declined to give Manny’s number seeing that our friend is on leave. I tried calling you again twice from the airport, Maane, but your home phone was busy. I called up your office but the lady who answered said you weren’t in.
Buddy, how was your golf course launch? Is it done na? Hope all went well for you. Wish you success and all that. So when are you inviting us to come over and play?
Nates, sorry we didn’t get to talk some more while you were here. I just passed by Immaculate Conception Church where you were when you texted me. I couldn’t turn back because it was past 6 am, on a Thursday, my car’s color-coding day, and I just had to rush to work before the MMDA drones could get to me! Had some goodies for your kids sana; by the way, couldn’t find your beehive tools, might be better to order through the Internet na lang siguro.
Let, Arnel, Vivs, Brenda, Arlene and all the rest, c’mon guys, how ‘bout a peep from you just to know you’re okay?

Subject: Fwd: The President of the United States of America
Read First Before Looking at the Pictures

An aircraft is about to crash. There are five passengers on board, but unfortunately only 4 parachutes. The first passenger says, "I'm Shaquille O'Neill, the best NBA basketball player. The Lakers need me, it would be unfair to them if I died".

So he takes the first parachute and jumps. The second passenger, Hillary Clinton, says, "I am the wife of the former President of the United States. I am also the most dedicated woman in the world, a Senator in New York and America's potential future President." She takes one of the parachutes and jumps.

The third passenger, George W. Bush, says, " I am the President of the United States of America. I have a huge responsibility in world politics. And apart from that, I am the most intelligent President in the history of the country and I have a responsilility to my people not to die." So he takes a parachute and jumps.

The fourth passenger, the Pope, says to the fifth passenger, a ten year old schoolboy, "I am already old. I have already lived my life, as a good person and a priest I will give you the last parachute".

The boy replies "No problem your popeness, there is also a parachute for you. America's most intelligent President has taken my schoolbag!!!!"

NOW........DON'T FORGET THE PICTURES!

Hi Arnel,
Lettie called me up too but I was in Chicago then. I'm in Phoenix, Arizona as I write this. I go back to Honolulu tomorrow where I'm a speaker at a business summit workshop for the Filipino Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii on Saturday. I go back to Manila on the 30th.
Buddy, Lettie, Tom... Pio Villacorta got in touch with me! It turns out that the new programmer I hired for our firm is his nephew. His email address is [email protected] and his cellphone no. is 9202708640. He says he will surely be at the reunion. Will you guys please reach him and ask him to join the group? I told him Buddy or anyone of the 'dynamic moving forces' will email him an invitation.
Thanks and regards,
Nelda
